You probably won't read this comment, but incase you do, here is some helpful things for your soon to be island base. Get the largest boat or raft you can, you were using the smallest one. Next, load it down with log carts, but make sure it can still float. Only harvest logs and stuff during the day, night you can spend making your base. Also, that "alien mound" is one of many pieces of a flintlock pistol you can craft with all the parts from every mound. Also, caves have dynamite. Another thing, if you put bodies in fire, they leave bones. You can use bones and cloth to make armor. Theres probably more to help with, but I am tired, so goodnight.
