I have 1 male and 4 female platy fish. 1 of the females gave birth 1st July so I’m currently grandmother to 24 baby platy fry. I have them in their own mini tank and they’re doing good so far
i have 4 females and 2 males and i had them for almost 2 months and they had 4 fry and 3 got eaten and the 1 surviving i but in a breeder box so wish me luck and love the video
@@bailywhiting5207 I have one tank with some Neon Tetras, Cherry Barbs, Zebra Danios and a Betta. I reckon I'm on the limit of stocking so if I get any more ill have to get a bigger tank or a second tank.
Hi, just wondering, once you've floated the bag and it's the right tank temp doesn't it get cold again when left in bucket while you drip acclimatise? Lovely male though. I have the same size tank as you and all female with a new male (snap) so I'll be following :)

I seem to be in the same position as you dude, our red wagtail platy seem to have given birth to just red wagtail femails. There's two males in there though which are only interested in just her at the moment, until the others enter adulthood.
they are fast breeders... i have lot of platies.... one of my male guppy chasing female platy.....so am going to separate them.... maybe they will cross breed......i am really waiting to the result...........

Yes! I have two 29 gallon tanks! The first one is occupied with fancy goldfish and common goldfish, and the other is yet to be filled 😄

You need more plants so the fry can hide and not get eaten by the adults

I had 6 with a good filter
My tank was 50L but I recently upgraded them into a 90L but I would put around 5/6 to start gives them a good amount of room! 👍🏻

Platys need heater and with heater they will breed better and make sure to have alot of fence plants

platy and guppy cannot cross breed. only molly and guppy!
Your fish you had before are mollys not plattys i can see you had 1 or 2 mixed in but most are mollys
