You are very welcome! I try my best to fill in what they don't write in the recipes and to make everything easy to understand so I'm really happy to hear that you like the video=)
Hi! This exact pattern has no shortrow shaping of the neck. However, I have another videos that shows how I shape the neck of a sweater knitted from the bottom and up: ua-cam.com/video/LtRjO2l9ZAM/v-deo.html andua-cam.com/video/xdtyWUQ-EJA/v-deo.html They are not for a round yoke sweater, but the way of doing it is more or less the same. I would use the raglan video and just ignore the raglan decrease and have a look at the blue stranded sweater if you are doing colourwork =)
Thank you! I wondering if it’s harder or any reason to not cast off the sleeve hole completely and then pick up the stitches with another pair and work from the shoulder of the sleeve to the cuff, instead of knitting the sleeve seperate and then weaving it into the hole, does it look more seamless the way you do it ? Or is it just a personal choice
Personally I like it when everything is knitted in the same direction. Either knitting sleeves and body from the bottom up and then connecting the parts and finishing with the yoke and neck. Or, beginning at the top, making neck and yoke first, divide stitches into body and sleeves and knit finish the body and then the sleeves from shoulder to cuff. The reason why I dont mix the two is that the stitches does not line up with each other in the join where you pick them up. As a whole you would be OK, but the join would be visible. I think you would get away with it though, if the join were between two rounds with different colour.
I love your work. Perfect tension. I have a question; for an Sweater XS size/ lady, what is the normal decrease from underarm to neck. I know bodies are different but, it must be a general guidance. I appreciate your wisdom !!!! :)
Hi! Thank you so much for your nice comment! It will vary with the number of stitches per 10 cm, shape and fit of sleeves, neckopening etc. An easy way to get pointed in the right direction of this is to have a look at another pattern using the same weight yarn that you want to use and has about the same shape. You can also take another sweater with right size and measure it. Say your work measures 50 cm amd you want it narrowed in to 40 cm. If you have 10 sts in 10 cm you need to decrease 10 sts to get there. Hope this helps at least a bit =)

Østerdalsbrura I think the person is used to seeing the American way of knitting where they hold the yarn in the right hand so to them our way of knitting, holding the yarn with our left hand, which is actually much faster and they call “continental knitting” I guess looks like “backwards knitting” which I think is kind of adorable
Thanks. I especially needed to see how to attach the sleeves in the round. Perfect. Clear. Thank you.

How do you knit backwards with your left hand
Hi! I'm not sure that I understand what you are referring to. Could you please let me know where in the video I do this and I will try to help you =)
