I find it interesting how many independent rappers have this sticker on their singles/albums despite no one enforcing it
idk looks cool ig its really easy to just put on to it yk kinda edgy ig to some people
Or to just give listeners a geniune warning of explicit content, you ever thought about that lol?
@@kaikapihya i mean ya but like most soundcloud rappers ain’t doing it for they reason
@@SuspenxeI do it sincerely for that reason. SoundCloud rappers aren’t the only musicians lol.
The music distributors do tho
not gonna lie, when i was a kid I used to look for the "PARENTAL ADVISORY EXPLICIT CONTENT" logo on a CD to know if i will enjoy it or not
real af
FLORIDA really impacted hip hop lol
All thanks 2 live crew and uncle Luke
Florida should get the recognition It deserves just like other places in hip hop
I was about to say I thought uncle Luke was the first
They were in 1990
Uncle luke is the reason why there's parental advisory stickers
😂 it’s still crazy to hear she was surprised by the song “Darling Nikki” when it was in the movie. She obviously didn’t watch Purple Rain.
Pretty interesting! Crazy how many of us observed or used and recognised this sticker without thinking of how it originated.
Its so funny to think that I used this sticker to confirm whether the Album or singles are legit or not since my teens until now . Thank you Yassine.❤
How Prince changed the music industry 😂
I really thought the kid bought a rap album not a fucking prince album
Cmon..
@@c0rxpseb0i13Well hold on now, Prince has some pretty R-rated songs
@@c0rxpseb0i13bro dissin prince
I’m sooo glad tipper gore isn’t wasting oxygen anymore

It's weird that the b-sides of purple have curse words and inappropriate lyrics but are some of prince's best songs
The sticker that showed us that the songs were 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The og karens
lol now it’s like a badge of honor. As a designer and musician/rapper album covers just look like a pfp 🤷♀️
Uncle luke and twisted sister are the reason for parental advisory
Prince is the primary reason why the sticker exists
These new kids always rewriting history
@@riccrion718Thank you 🎯
Thank god for the parental advisory sticker! Greatest thing to happen in music history 👏
How is it the greates thing to happen in music?
@@OlleStenlundGeneralpretty sure they are being sarcastic…
Artist in the 80s was some freaks wasn’t they 😂😂
Would say the parents the freak ones 😂😂
love the video essay format for ur videos
Thanks Tipper for showing us growing up what the cool albums were
That just made it MUCH MORE EASIER!
Actual title : How Karen’s were breaded
Notice how they were all suburban moms grouped together lol I can’t
😂
I mean fools showing nude girls, alcohol and drug consumption in every music video, should have seen this coming. I would have preferred they require an artist to label what age the music is appropriate for, not a board, or the current label.
They really had nothing better to do. The child asked her mother what a virgin was, and the mother's answer was I NEED TO GET POLITICAL
Just bundle of Karens and Ken
The 1994 typo 😭
i think the logo looks sick its like one of the first things you think about when thinking about music art
Idk if anybody in the comments has seen it but Dee Snider absolutely COOKED the RIAA and Washington Wives 😂
They thought he was going to be a drugged out rocker and prove their point lol they were so wrong 🤣
Oh how times have changed. I purchase a explicit CD from Walmart
I was so embarrassed with all those edit CD as teen. 🤦♂️
Same if only edited cds were not a thing
I thought Walmart only sold clean cd’s
@@JoeyStaletoTVI believe they now sell Parental Advisory vinyls
@@JoeyStaletoTV yes CDs & vinyls from Tyler the Creator to Olivia Rodrigo.
Interesting to know the history of profanity in music and stickers along with it
That PAL logo is now on our album covers for aesthetics
F it ima party till its 1999 tonight
Good thing they put that I wish they would put the lyrics on the cd paper cover thing because when it come tonthe writer sometime I have no idea what they are saying.
Just to confirm, W.A.S.P. is pronounced "wasp" as in the insect, and the title of the band, while not confirmed, has suggested that it stood for "We Are SexuaI Prophets/Perverts." They are awesome, btw. They're fun, heavy, and raunchy. Also, interestingly, their 1985 album The Last Command, while not having a legit Parental Advisory sticker, was the first album to have an explicit content warning which appeared on the back cover; Purple Rain didn't receive the Parental Advisory sticker upon release, but was applied after.
If you want something more serious from W.A.S.P., I highly recommend their albums The Headless Children (1989) in which lyrically delves into political and social issues, and The Crimson Idol (1992) which is a concept album about a teenager who desires to become a rockstar to get out of the grasp of his neglectful parents. Spoiler: the main character "unaIives" himself in the end. I'll have you figure out the rest if you're interested. You don't have to, though. Just so you know it's out there. 😁
“If you know what the name means, that’s fine. If you don’t, that’s fine, too.” - Blackie Lawless
One of their songs that I highly recommend checking out is “Hallowed Ground”, which was inspired by Blackie’s visit to Ground Zero in October of 2001. Both full-electric and acoustic versions exist. Feel free to give both a listen to and decide what version you like best.
Loved this!
If only the parent advisory sticker wasnt ever made, that and clean version of rap music. that has to stop.
bro that made 0 sense 😭
It will never happen. Accept it bro.
@@startrakambassador3632 cause they are karens
@@chuuwantsomeofthis thank you
He’s a troll no one who watches Yassine is this actually brain dead
I love the parental advisory sticker. If its not on the album or the e doesnt show on apple music im not tryna hear it😂
Ong, some mfs trippin. If it dont got that sticker yk its gonna be wack as shit 😂
Just like D.A.R.E. don't look at this kids. Don't do this.....
Interesting. Thanks Khoya
Wasn’t Straight Outta Compton the first album with the sticker on it
Yes but Priority Records sticker was a little small but still noticeable at 1st until the album was remastered with a big parental warning stickler
anyone else think this is completely fair? the stickers only lead us to the good stuff anyway hahaha
Always thought 2 Live Crew was the reason for the sticker
Thank u bro
Thanks for watching
It's always the Karen's 😂😂😂😂 baby It's never up to the artist to keep your kids watching and listening to age appropriate content 🤷🏻♀️ and yes im a mother so what my daughter consumes is up and on not on the industry .
Funny how my 10 year olds UA-cam Kids account allowed the Cardi B song W.A.P. uncensored to be played.
Being the "cool and hip mom" is fucking lame AF.
MERCYFUL FATE KING DIAMOND 🎶🔥💯😈
Oh man that darling Nikki controversy was hilarious
This is a old age concept, but it still holds through. Parents should listen to the music and then judge if they want their children listen to the same music.. I could be wrong, but I think Eminem said the same motherfucking thing.
MERCIFUL FATE 🤟😝🔥
after having a child i kinda agree with it
Purple rain released in 1984 ???
I can’t believe we still haven’t learned to pick our role models
I always wondered abt this
Why dont you do coverage of hip hop news?
Parental sticker is just as useless as the ESRB sticker too
the word occult simply means "hidden." nothing spooky.
👀
W videos ideas
all i heard was mfers tryna stop other people's expression and art-i understand having it, if the problem came up.. then ok the sticker was the solution. what was wrong with everyone who needed it, used it, and everyone can go they own way. just keep the kids away from it. how hard was that.
FirstYassine
Just shows that those explicit stickers don't really do that much. Why are they even up there, when nobody really cares..!!
Cough cough nwa cough cough
