The first 150pokemon cards are still worth a shitload of money.
FF to 2022 and walt was super wrong about pokemon. If walt held on to what he had, he would be buying a dennys of his own with the cash from some of them. Its actually absurd how much money some are worth. Packs cant stay in stores either
Amiibo and Funko Pops are the modern day Beanie Baby.
In 2013 Q questions where one would get a hundred grand. 8 years later.....hes worth 5 million dollars

Pokemon cards are still sought after by kids and adults alike. Maybe not as crazy as they were in the 90s, but still, people still like them. Beanie Babies though...yeah they're pretty much worthless these days.
fast forward to 2022, its actually more popular now than it was in its hayday. The values are higher than ever, i sold a charizard last year for 24,000$
As far as Pokemon cards go, Walt's argument didn't age well. Celebrities, rich people, and UA-camrs are dropping 5 and 6 figures for 1st generation Pokemon cards.
