I used to live off Forum Park Drive. It was a beautiful condo community. The name of the complex was actually Forum Park III. They were individually owned and once they started accepting Section 8, it really began to change for the worse. We moved after they broke into our car, and kicked down the downstairs neighbor’s door in the middle of the day and basically moved her out. According to the security guard, he thought she WAS moving because they used a U-Haul truck to take everything out of the house! They took her children’s clothes and shoes, and even their baby pictures off the walls! It was a few items left behind like empty shoeboxes but that’s it. We found a house and moved all within 6/7 weeks of that happening. Been gone 24 1/2 years now and I don’t miss anything about being over there!
@@Nantosuelta I agree. I still talk to that neighbor and she’s always been the sweetest person. She helps anyone who asks, whether she knows them or not. I was the one who saw her door halfway open and discovered that everything was gone because I got home before she did. I felt horrible for her. She stayed upstairs with us for about a week because she was scared to stay in her apartment. She moved after that, and about 3 weeks later we did too.
Yeah it's funny how sometimes areas like Alief and Forum park are mainly black or Hispanic but used to be historically white but then you got areas like 2nd n 3rd ward that are the exact opposite. is it white flight or gentrification 🤔
Tbh it’s never been rough compared to Chicago, NYC, LA. My white ass has been all over the worst parts of Houston over the last 15 years, there’s an element of hospitality where if you treat people with respect, you’ll get that in return. You hear MANY people in this vid mention it and reflect that ideology specifically.

Such a great episode Brandon. It really showed a lot about H-towns set. In my area, these young ones are the biggest issue we got at the time. Since I'm an old head now all of us that used to beef are cool now. The youngsters really need the leadership and community we used to have. We luckily had some of old heads get together and teach these youngsters "the bricks" in our area, but there are many places around that have nothing. Before the OGs got involved, we had an 12yr old take a 24yr over some bud. The OG's said that's it. I hope the other areas in h-town get the same treatment and we can return to the respectful days completely.
The old OG's are the ones who created and perpetuated the environment that the youth now inhabit. The youth are YOUR successors, being conditioned by the environment YOU laid down. Take responsibility for the deteriorating culture that you helped foster. Ignorance and violence are systemic in gang culture. Yall need to hold yourselves to higher standards and stop glorifying that life. It's a shameful and pathetic existence beefing over a few city blocks.

That's the hallmark of a lowlife. They're good at lip service, saying the things that they know they're supposed to say in order to make you think they're decent people.. Their ability to say the right thing only illustrates they clearly know what the right thing to do is, yet still continue to do the opposite..
But when people spread negative shit “ why is he saying gangster on the internet “ move around TROLL so a gang member can’t try to be positive and fix where he had loose screws at

Been gone 24 1/2 years now and I don’t miss anything about being over there!
absolutely disgusting. Anyone who does that to someone is a worthless person.

In reality they're still deadbeats with no actual respect for anything..
Their ability to say the right thing only illustrates they clearly know what the right thing to do is, yet still continue to do the opposite..

its almsot like dont beileve them..wonder why so many mexicans. tey buying what the whites are selling..and for a permium...no one knows shid. jesus
