Ibiza is a beautiful island, known for its gorgeous sunsets and awesome parties. Ibiza is a popular destination for those of all ages and there are a few things to be aware of when planning a holiday.
Firstly, let’s begin with saying that you can book a package deal to Ibiza and if you are travelling as a group or family and get a great last minute deal, then this is not a bad option at all. However, if you are visiting during peak season, you are likely to save money by booking your flight, hotel and transport separately.
BEST TIME TO VISIT IBIZA
- July and August is the perfect time for parties and clubs, the weather is warm and the DJ’s are in town.
- May, June and September are warm but cheaper times to visit as they are outside the school holidays.
- Avoid October to February, these are the rainier and cooler months with many restaurants and bars closed during this time.
PLACES TO VISIT IN IBIZA
Old Town - Also known at Dalt Vila, Ibiza’s Old Town is now an interesting UNESCO Heritage Site. Walk through the picturesque narrow cobblestoned streets and visiting the charming restaurants, cafes and gorgeous cathedral.
Las Dalias Hippy Market - The market runs every Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Monday and Tuesdays (summer only) from 7pm to 1am, selling souvenirs, accessories and fashion.
The beaches - Cala d’hort, Cala Saladeta, Cala Xarraca, Sa Caleta, Benirras
HOW TO GET AROUND IBIZA
- Use the bus - the bus in Ibiza is the cheapest way to get around the island. Fares range between €1.55 and €4 and bus routes can be found online here.

- Car rental - Hiring a car in Ibiza is expensive, with cars starting at €40 a day and rises during the summer months. If you plan on travelling around all the sights and beaches of Ibiza or are staying in a quieter, more secluded area, then renting a car is a great option.
- Taxis - There is a taxi rank at the airport, at ferry terminals and in the main towns. You can also find taxis outside major resorts and they can be hailed down on the street. Taxis start at €3.65 then €1.09 per kilometre. It is also worth having your destination written down or on google maps, especially if you do not speak Spanish.

Ibiza has many California vibes and is a great place to go on holiday. It is more expensive than similar places in Europe but if you visit in the quieter seasons you can save quite a bit of money on accommodation. Hope you get to visit one day!

Heading there first week of November because want to escape the cold. Any tips for the best blue beaches ?
oh have fun! The waters are a bit colder in November but generally, the best beaches in our opinion are Cala Benirras, Cala Bassa, Cala Jondal and Talamanca. Cala Bassa has that gorgeous crystal clear water you see in pictures!
Thank you for the great video! I had a question about weather and activities in Barcelona visit between April 25 -May 3. Is this weather for beach or is it too early? Is it light jacket weather?
So the sea itself will be a little too chilly to swim in but the restaurants and bars along the beach should all be open as normal. Sometimes Spain gets heat waves in April and May too but definitely bring a light jacket and even an umbrella just incase! They can have some rainfall during April too

My friends and I are thinking of visiting Ibiza first week of October? Would that still be viable for swimming, snorkeling, and potentially clubbing?
Early October is hot and all the clubs have closing parties it’s cheaper and I’d say it’s the best time to go. Not too late in October thow. She’s clueless

Always check on the government websites before booking but it’s predicated that everything should be up and running again for the season this year (so from April onwards)
Will there be any clubs open the first weekend of November?
Most clubs close for the off-season but there are some that remain open all year that you could experience. Ibiza spotlight have a good party calendar for you to check your dates on

Hi Jayantika - 26th of November Eden in San Antonio are open :) this is the only "superclub" - head to Hostal La Torre for the sunset :)

Tips for solo travelers who like to party?
For the party scene, stay in San Antonio and visit the bars in the area for pre drinks. Many offer coaches over to the nightclubs (these are a little further away from the hotel area)
If you dont drink to much or party in ibiza then your budget will be fine
Is Ibiza a good place to stay for say 12 days?
It certainly is just make sure to bring plenty of spending money as it’s expensive!

Yh its great. Only problem is that because ibiza is on the Amber list i had to take a private Covid before and after which cost me additional £300.
I recommend going After you have taken both vaccines and is considered fully vaccinated. Because only 1 vaccine isn’t enough.
Or in the later future when covid is completely finished. Right now i do wish i did wait until September/October after my second vaccine which is in late September. To save me the money.

1st week in October in San Antonio 2022 not a single drop of rain for the whole week, temperatures 75 to 80 gorgeous.
October was amazing weather this year - September not so good! The sunshine continued well into November but today the storms arrived
