Love this! I didn’t see the ‘Trick or Treat’ 1986 one till probably sometime in the last few years and it INSTANTLY became one of my absolute favorites. I bought the blu ray and soundtrack and everything (the cassette tape AND the CD). After I saw it I was like HOW DID I MISS THIS ONE! I give all the credit to my buddy Chris Seaver from ‘It Crept from the 80s’ UA-cam channel for mentioning this one. 👊😎 Now I need a 4k version! 🙌 Great guest with the G man, and Christian I love that badass Coors hat! 😊

Im always looking for my next slasher flick. I will have to check out the Trick or Treat movie as I have never seen it. One of my favorites and underrated slashers from 1981 is a movie called the Prowler which had Tom Savini do the fx work on. Great having you and Garrett team up on movies again. Not sure if it was mentioned but the restoration of Trick or Treat is streaming on Screambox. I didn't think it looked very great so hoping the 4K disc looks better. Absolutely one of the best hidden gems of the 80s! Damn, Fright Night 2 is officially cancelled?! I just checked out the company's social media a few weeks ago to look for an update.
yesterday I watched Thrashin and today I watched Shock 'em dead. Thrashin was really good. Kind of liked Shock'em dead, not sure I'd rewatch it though. Thrashin, I will watch again. I was shocked by how fun Hack o lantern was. I ended up really liking it. I was disappointed by Trick or treat though. I watched back in October of 2022. Maybe because I'm a 90's kid and "this satanic devil music" I associate with black metal from the 90's. if there ever was a metal song that made me feel like getting down on my hands and knees and bowing down and worshiping satan it would be Morbid Angel's God of emptiness and Electric Wizard's Black mass. Like....how the f**k can anyone think Twisted sister and all the other 80's metal bands are "satanic". I mean, it's laughable. So we hear Sammy Curr play in the movie and it's like "really?! This is suppose to be satanic?!" Sammy Curr was no Bathory, that's for sure. Also, was expecting more. Was expecting a cooler, much more fun popcorn film like Hack o lantern. I love Trick R treat. I have minor small issues with it, but I still love it. Great awesome Halloween movie. I watch it ever 2-5 years on Halloween night. Creepshow and The monster club are my two favorite horror anthologies though and I've only seen The monster club once, but I've put it on my rotation since I watched it in 2022. My favorite of The monster club is the last story, which I think is one of the best ghoul adaptions. Tales from the crypt did some ghoul episodes as well, several of them my favorite episodes. Ghouls are sadly one of the lost horror monsters that are never really used at all. To me, the ghoul is a really disturbing horror creature; especially in The monster club. Just the idea creeps me the f**k out. I was around 12-13 when Blair witch project came out. I do remember going onto the website. Never once was I fooled because to me common sense told me it was fake and it wasn't like this hadn't been done before. The 90's was the decade of The X files. I remember when the "Alien autopsy" appeared on TV and while I was a child who was susceptible to this type of stuff, I was showing signs of skepticism and when it came to Blair witch project...it was pretty blatantly obvious to me at least that it was fake. The best way to describe it would be "A Nigerian phone caller calls you up and tells you he will give you $1,000 if you just send him $500." REALLY?! Is that really how the world actually works? If this was REAL, LEGIT REAL....why can I only find this stuff on the film's website? Not outside sources? Where are the family members of the victims? Why is it playing on a BIG GIANT theater screen all over the country as a legit hollywood movie?! Isn't that kind of odd?! Why all of this advertisement?! Why is it being promoted like ANY OTHER MOVIE?! OBVIOUSLY it was a marketing campaign. Pure and simple, so I was never fooled. Have not seen it since like 2006? I've also wanted Trick R treat 2 and I've also been kind of turned off by all the merchandising. So ya, I can't wait for the sequel. I just hope he's able to pull it off. Never seen Trick or treats and don't want to and never will. I have heard a movie critic call it "borderline unwatchable."
I still have that Platinum Trick or Treat DVD. Picked it up back in the day after watching one of CK's old DVD collection videos.

Trick 'r Treat 2 is never coming. How long how it been since it was announced? As for Trick or Treat blu-ray, I doubt it's getting a release.
I agree but unfortunately almost any movie get rebooted and going to keep happening especially lots of these reboots failed
