I just finished the all the series including the OVA and all I remember was I cant stop crying, It seems so real and hard to believe that It's only a anime. Yuu Watase's Fushigi Yuugi is one of the best anime and manga I've seen.

Suddenly I feel 5 again, with this heartwarming nostalgic anime song. The anime might not be everlasting in episode forms, but in my heart and childhood it's everlasting and nostalgic, it even gives me the chills, it's an everlasting story.
12 years and I'm still here. My very first favorite anime. Nothing beats Fushigi Yuugi's whole soundtrack. I still have all the lyrics in my notebook and the CD lol. After watching this anime for lots of times, I realized how they spoiled us a lot. They gave us a satisfying OVA sequel, happy ending, and a beautiful memory that up until now we still cherish. My only wish if I'm ever allowed to be greedy is a reboot of this anime and for Genbu Kaiden and Byakko Ibun to have their own anime.

The ending of Eikoden shows the book returns to the library. Meaning it didn't completely disappear. So let's say they can still meet again.
