I’m teaching my 19 month old grandnephew how to sign and your videos are so helpful. He loves animal signs. He also loves to tell my neighbor to go away. lol ✌🏻🙏🙂❤️
Thank you so much for these videos. In my kid's school, they are teaching him ASL to all the kids. It is a regular school but with an inclusive twist. My 3yo son is autistic so seeing the signs represented here it is amazing for me.
I've always wanted to learn Asl. I think it's so cool to be able to talk without speaking. I've found it challenging so far but then I found your videos!! The way you teach is my FAVOURITE! it's very clear and I love you're personality and attitude, so I actually enjoy learning now. Your real life students are extremely, extremely lucky!❤❤
This is very helpful. Just a suggestion is to put the animal picture on the screen too. I am using this video to teach my son sign language as I am also learning. He is only 2, so he doesn't associate the words with what the animals look like.
Your videos are so helpful! We've been using your videos to teach my toddler ASL. It's funny when you said that some signs are intuitive, in that they look like the animal. I noticed that with the routines video too. My toddler has made up several signs, and it turns out she wasn't that far off from the real ASL sign! I found the sentence breakdown very helpful! We will start signing sentences soon.
thank you for all your helpful posts! your channel is the only asl channel i enjoy watching and learning from, keep up the amazing work! thanks to your youtube videos and skillshare i've gotten very good at asl!
Some animal signs id like to see are Rat, Kangaroo, Lizard, Alpaca and Ferret. Skunk! Wolverine. Do they have a word for marsupial or mustletid? Could you talk about how to describe an animal? Like are there any specific sentence structures or verbs specifically for the size, relationship, etc? Or like the adverbs/verbs ‘pet’ vs ‘to pet’? maybe some make-believe animals if you have them like Dragon, Vampire, elf, Creature (maybe not Monster), Giant as a noun if that exists? Are there any ways to describe animals based on what they look like, or a way to try and specify what kind of animal you’re talking about without potentially finger spelling? (IE if there isn’t a word for ‘mink’ but there’s a word for ‘ferret’, how would you try to elaborate?) this is VERY fascinating and I love your videos and languages so much!!!
Hey, I love your videos!! One question: does it still work if you say something like "What your favorite animal?" Instrad of "You animal favorite what you?"?
I think it would be like trying to speak English with the Spanish grammar… it just wouldn’t work, and English speaking people would have a hard time understanding you…
You gotta make accompanying videos with just the subject matter for us to sign what we see!! I love your videos and I’ve come so far in just a week and a half!! Thank you so much ❤
That's confusing when you say there are different signs of animal signs all around the world... which would lead someone to believe that sign language is universal however, it is not. ASL is what you're teaching so it's pretty much the same throughout the United States with some exceptions to some regional signs.
We are not allowed to call our friends animal names, well if we are not allowed to call them, I decide to use sign instead, he's such a bully so I decide to roast him for once, and the best part is no one understand 💀
Fun fact: Donkeys aren't stubborn. When they sense danger they freeze to assess the situation and what to do. This is what makes us perceive them as stubborn.

When you are crossing your arms or hands to make a specific sign, does it matter which one you put on the top? Right or left?
