Higurashi spans multiple story arcs, and how they relate to one another is part of the mystery. As you noticed, the proper ordering is at the top of the spine. The black covers and spines mark the Question Arcs that establish the mystery, and the white covers and spines mark the Answer Arcs that resolve the mystery. The Demon Exposing single volume is a side story best read after the Question Arcs, and Dice Killing is an epilogue best read after the Answer Arcs.
When I saw Kimi ni todoke when you first opened the box my jaw dropped like bro this series is everything I wished and hoped for this has been one of my favorite shoujos for years

So jealous of those higurashi manga 😭 I've been collecting them slowly from eBay since they've been hard to get. Hope you enoy it! The manga is the best experience of the story aside from the original visual novel.

I just finished Sweat and Soap and just started Kimi ni Todoke. The live action has been good so far. One of my favorites is the Kase-san series where Right Stuf seems to be the only ones to have it in stock.

I read Higurashi not knowing really anything about the series otherwise (anime, game, etc). I"m not big horror fan but it's one of the best series I've read.

I am a big shojo fan personally! One of my top favorites is probably Ceres: Celestial Legend and Alice19th by Yu Watase. I tend to gravitate towards shojo but one of my favorite shonen is Haikyu. I'd say Haikyu and Inuyasha are two of my faves fhat arent shojo

The first time I watched Maid-sama, I immediately bought the manga for kindle b/c I couldn’t stand how it was just left hanging on the anime. Best decision I made. LOL😂

I started reading One punch man in March. I'm on vol 4, I feel the same as I did when I saw the first season last year. I like the world building. But Like the Monsters more then the heroes, I don't have a favorite yet. I'm trying to finish Battle angel Alita. The new story I've been enjoying so far but it kinda makes me sad, which I guess is a good thing. I'm reading Urusei Yatsura need 5 more Omnibus to finish the series.

If you really like Higurashi i really recommend umineko
you have to finished Maid-sama, this is still after sooo many years, my favorite Shojo manga, the dynamic, the story, all the characters, I love this manga so much! for Kimi ni Todoke, I suggest for you to watch the anime, the live action did not justify the show for me, so watch the anime and continue the manga, it was so cute! i love them. If you want to watch, the live action of Kimi ni Todoke, watch the movie version, this was done so well far better than the netflix one.

All that horror.. Too much for me lol. I can't stomach the genre anymore. I never really could, but I did read a few/watch over the years out of curiosity and had my fill. They're too mentally draining for me sit through. Also.. 69 volumes.. Was that calculated? Lol sorry I couldn't help it.
