I don’t understand the urge to set a stronger and weaker person in a relationship. In a healthy relationship there is no need for that or else it comes with the personality of one person, not his or her sex. It does not make any sense in same sex relationships for exemple and don’t tell me it is not the same than opposite sex relationships. Nowadays it is bad (or badly seen) to say that men have a strong presence in a relationship because you know, women power, we are not slaves... but men are humans too ! If we want equality we have to think both ways ! Sorry for the long ass rant but I had to say it somewhere (and sorry if I wrote something the wrong way English is not my first language)

i’m annoyed that her company thought this was “too strong” for her image like what? the thing about sunmi is that she is able to switch it up so easily. Melina Szarata you don’t need to have a certain body type to do a dance and make it look good you can say she doesn’t fit the dance that’s fine but saying it be better if someone with a different body type did it isn’t especially since sunmi has claimed she struggles with gaining weight
i’m annoyed that her company thought this was “too strong” for her image like what? the thing about sunmi is that she is able to switch it up so easily. She has the face for more hard and “strong” shit like this. Idk if that makes sense but i think jyp basically said something similar about her a while back (she talked about it in an interview i think.)
anyways i think an artist should be able to experiment with different sounds and different looks. but anyways, this song slaps
EDIT: It seems like some people are confused about my JYP statement. What i meant to say was that JYP said that sunmi is able to basically fit any concept due to her being able to “flip the switch” (as i like to call it.) Basically if she wanted to do more “hard” stuff like this, she could pull it off. If she wanted to do more cutesy stuff, she could pull it off. She’s versatile.
Also she is NOT signed to JYP anymore, Makeus Ent. is her new company and while i understand that they’re kind of a new company, sunmi is a veteran idol. She could put out a song of her doing pig calls and i bet that shit would chart (i’m joking but also...kpop fans probably would buy that single).
Anyways, i still want sunmi to experiment more with her sound and judging by her vlogs, she is. Plenty of “smaller” companies have taken risks with their groups or soloists (dreamcatcher comes to mind with their horror concept and their rock sound. Happyface took a chance and while the group isn’t as big as Twice, they’re getting more and more popular. Especially overseas.) so...idk. its possible. I’m hoping that makeus trusts sunmi with her music. They seem like a pretty okay company overall.

I wonder though, if we should take that statement so literally, since ultimately she still got to release this. Maybe that decision was pre Gashina and/or Heroine, and they felt like it was still too early to take a risk and persuaded her to go with something else. Idk, it's just so odd to hear considering Siren and Noir aren't necessarily happy-go-lucky songs either, so I feel like the company has learned to trust her and her impact overtime. I can't fault them too much for being hesitant, they're still a pretty "young" company, and I appreciate them trying to make up for it by not entirely scrapping the song and bringing it back.
