My grandfather died from a brain tumor. One of his daughters, my Aunt, died from a brain tumor. My brother died of brain tumor, specifically, GBM. My late brother’s children, the rest of my brothers and I, along with many of our cousins, are participating in Gliogene, an international study looking into familial brain tumors. I really wish we could make some significant headway on a cure, or at least longer survival rates.
@@Optunity Combining DCVax-L with an adjuvant poly iclc and with a checkpoint inhibitor, keytruda, it seems likely from other studies not yet published, that very substantial additional improvement over just using the vaccine by itself, could be possible.
It sounds like the immunotherapy that Dr. Liau is working on is very promising. Has it been passed by the FDA? If not what are the chances? I had a good friend that succumbed to this disease. (thank you all to the doctors & nurses)
Passed by the FDA? The trial data has NEVER EVEN BEEN RELEASED! "The end of Sep 2019 was repeated by LG on the Big Biz Show. But that was after they announced they expected it by around August. And that was after they announced they expected it by end of June or early July. And that was after they said in Jan 2019, and before that, it was "multi month" stages in Dec 2018. And that was after they said in 2017 that the ''multi month'' stages would start when the count was reached. And that was after LP said at the start of 2015 that they were looking at TLD by early 2016. And that was after LP said to stay tuned for results in late 2013, then early 2014. And that was after LP said to expect TLD in 2011. Of course we could go back to 2007 when they said they were approved in Switzerland and patients would be flocking from all over the world. Then EU and US approvals should follow in 2009. It was being touted a few months ago that NWBO will release data at ASCO. ASCO is from June 4th to 8th. Final date of submission of even late breaking abstracts has passed, see here. So ASCO isn't going to be the forum where this data will be presented."
Why no collaborative discussion between Dr Linda Liau and Dr Keyoumars Ashkan on the quite obvious positive results from the DCVax-L 15 year clinical ? Two of the most notable neurosurgeons in the entire world , discussing glioblastoma and Mt Sinai has no interest in their collective thoughts.
The trouble with these trials is people don’t have time on their side to be the placebo receiver. Just give all volunteers the drug and you’ll know if it works or not!
Dr. Lau. I have GBM. You are my hero and my shining star that gives me hope

Omg. My heart and condolences to you. I have GBM. Government and media need more awareness in the #1 cancer killer in children
