A long time ago Joe Luis, a champion heavy weight boxer, showed great sportsmanship in the ring. He never taunted his opponents & wouldn't take advantage of an opponent who lost his balance.
We need true sportsmanship again, because winning is meaningless if you don't act like a good person.
It's always difficult to explain what is humanity ....when you see such moment something shook within you ....that's human....that's humanity
and when you see them supporting ukrain okay desire for peace when you support palestine they will say no politics in sport and also you are a terrorist...humanity is a choice.. some people choose to ignore out of hate and ignorance...so it's all BS
They should make medals or rewards for good sportsmanship

The football game with the women who shielded their opponent so she can fix her hijab is the epitome of humanity! Respect others and their beliefs, understand and accept our differences. This world is in desperate need of more of this
This kinda videos touches everyone's heart and make us believe that humanity and kindness still exists in this World.
The Mascot taking the hit for that boy; I know their suit is well padded but that was still quick thinking and good reactions.
This is the beauty of human beings, who think of others before themselves, when it's needed, when it can be life and death.
I love them all but when the girls huddle around the girl out of respect for her believes even though it's not there's was by far the best. Wish more people could be this way.just because it isn't yours or you do not understand doesn't matter

That was only one I didn't like, it's not right to make women use these hijab and burkha things, that's not freedom for women. We have so much problem of these same religion men in our country, you would not believe what they do here for local women.

It is so great sport men and women that help others who get hurt stop and this is the greatest sportsmanship I am 71years old and sportsmanship make people happy. I WOULD LIKE TO ASK IF THEIR IS MEDAL FOR PEOPLE WHO HELP OTHERS BECAUSE THE DESERVE IT.
The guy who refused to take his turn after the other guy could not, was very impressive.
Not as dramatic looking as many of the others, but definitely true sportsmanship.

7:20 I haven't even watched the whole video and this is already my favorite moment. The amount of self-control that takes is insane. I am a fellow martial artist and I have had to use that much control only once or twice during training when my partner did not have his pads fully up and my leg was about to connect with his face. Truly truly incredible.
and you can totally tell she’s a great person! the way she immediately went to check if her opponent was okay, and then turned to yell at the ref for not calling it sooner since she wasn’t even defending herself 😭

I saw footage of that "security coach" who saw her "charge" not coming up to the surface and seeing the coach going underwater like a torpedo to reach her "charge" to bring up to the surface... ah to be a beautiful swimmer going through the water to reach the swimmer. Stunningly graceful..

In 2016 Nebraska was at Ohio State in a late season football game with both teams ranked in the top 10 at the time. It was an important game for both teams and their hopes of making it to the conference championship game. Nebraska QB Tommy Armstrong Jr was knocked out after landing on his head and shoulder when he was taken off his feet on a hit near the sideline in the second quarter. He was woozy and had difficulty regaining his bearings after the play and was taken off the field in a neck brace on a backboard to OSU's on campus hospital to be evaluated for any potential spinal issues or a concussion. Players from both teams came by to give their respect before he was taken off the field. The stadium was chanting "Tommy" as he was taken to the ambulance and he gave the crowd a thumbs out to show his had regained consciousness and was coherent. He returned to the stadium in the 3rd Quarter after being cleared at the hospital. Though he didn't return in pads and sat the rest of the game under concussion protocols, during a timeout he ran out of the tunnel and across the field back onto the sideline the fans in the stadium began chanting his name and clapping at his safe return to the sideline. No decent fan wants to see athletes seriously hurt and that was a scary moment in time seeing him laying there unresponsive after that hit. He is a great person and was very well thought of and respected throughout the conference by players, staff, and fans alike during his time at Nebraska. One of the nicest gestures of love and respect I've ever seen by an opposing home crowd.

The saving from drowning of the swimmer when she became unconscious at the bottom of the pool was a life saving moment and showed selflessness and a quick response.
I think her fitness is really amazing, I think they should give her a certificate for her bravery

These were all wonderful… but the child sitting alone at school with autism really got to me…I have a 13 year old with autism… but we were blessed….everyone at my sons school loves him.. everyone looks out for him and this started in first grade… I cannot thank all the teachers and students… also the parents of the students… it’s crazy they all know my sons name and they love him…there is a saying.. it takes a village … and I am in the best village in the world..

There was even cooler soccer moment in FIN-DEN Euro Cup (2020?) game, when Danish player _coded_ on the field; all the players on both sides rushed to him and eventually shielded him from view by forming a ring around him, while EMTs worked on him (this took very long, scarred a lot of younger viewers, they showed it all in tv..). Then Finnish fans started to chant the fallen players first name, soon the Danish fans added his last name to it. One of the most horrible, yet most beautiful sports moments Ive seen, hands down. And the player not only survived, but plays again.

My granddaughter plays soccer and she's nine and they won their division and they are traveling throughout Pennsylvania. My granddaughter stopped a goal and we have a picture of her when she stopped the goal, got down on her knee and waited with the other little girl for help I was so proud of her. I couldn't help but notice the other little girl has bare legs and no protection, my granddaughter because her father was in every sport imaginable was wearing the black leggings with the knee and shin protection attached, still proud she waited with the little girl who was crying. Parents please buy the appropriate gear for sports, just because their young doesn't mean they can't get hurt
Sadly, not all parents can afford all the equipment. On top of league fees, travel, mandatory equipment, trips... plus bringing snacks for the whole team, driving to practices. Please don't judge the parents. Sincerely, the little girl without the right equipment (30 years later)
I liked the girl of the hijab, how easy is to become a hero sometimes. You don,t have to go away from your path.
I also liked the lady who saved the swimmer, and the mascot taking the hot from the boy.

Thanks fellow humans. I know I'm flawed but I think most of you would help me like this if necessary. I know you're flawed but I'd strive to be as awesome as this for you. We don't know each other's struggles but we should try, and step in, and help, whenever we can. This is our greatest calling.
Why do Sports and our favorite Athletes mean so much to so many? It's not all about Wins and Loses, because even when you lose on the scoreboard, sometimes you win when it has nothing to do with the actual game itself.
