I was heartbroken when Longmire hung-up their Stetson for good. TV executives just keep forgetting us adults over the age of 40 that don't like comedy's or reality TV. Someone suggested I watch Yellowstone as it was a pretty good show. I was stubborn, as no show could measure up to Longmire; well, I started watching Yellowstone at season 2. I'm hooked. Great show, great actors, great storyline! Go Yellowstone!!
Never thought I’d see someone who liked Longmire as much as me, it was awesome. But, I do like Yellowstone better.
@@mynameisavery_6793 I'm a diehard. Was part of the Longmire Posse which brought the show to Netflix from A&E, and have read every book-twice. I was just watching Longmire season 4 last night as there was nothing on TV: as usual. My question is other streaming channels have the previous episodes of Yellowstone; @$1.99 each. I already pay for the streaming service so I won't pay like that for every previous episode. I understand there is a pilot episode, but I can't seem to find it. Any ideas?

Longmired was my favorite show before Yellowstone.

Season 4 can’t come soon enough! Love all the characters and the writing by Sheridan is beyond exceptional!
Just a Tad bit of stereotyping with the characters and there is more bullets than Rambo! hardly depicts anything of the lifestyle or anything half real just pointless violence

@@lmae989 Talk about Kevin Costner syndrome lol!! Dutton ranch is actually Chief Joseph ranch in Darby Montana, Its a real working cattle ranch with nice luxurious cabins for rent .. Very peaceful, some nice fishing and horseback riding nearby but not a lot of automatic gun fire, 1883 style land wars, or angry members of the Wallowa band of the Nez pierce Indian tribe plotting murder to regain the land. lol!! In fact the ranch is a tribute to Chief Joseph their historic tribe leader . The writers seemed to have mixed the series" Animal kingdom" with cattle ranching and its quite silly however they are going to amend their overkill by making a true western about 1883 Montana called "1883" Enjoy

Here in Texas and many other states we sure do have access to “military grade weapons.” It is incredibly easy to make a semi into a full auto… I can count in to double digits of people I know with Barrett .50 cals, and they don’t live even live in the country… everyone is strapped down here.
@@lmae989 having worked cattle, it’s exiting to do, but not exiting to watch. There are always people that infringe on others’ land. City slickers buying landlocked plots, causing them to trespass without communication to landowners. Oilfield employees poking around, illegal hunters spotlighting. Both my dad, and grandad have shot at people coming in at night to hunt without permission. Then you account for drug manufactures, and you have a whole other deal. Texas is different than most places, but barbed wire is the same everywhere, and it doesn’t always keep people out. It’s a television show, by the way. There’s going to be more violence and drama than normal.
There are not too many shows that are this well written! It has action, suspense, and plenty of surprises. I luv a show that I can't guess all the plot. All the actors are fantastic and have great chemistry! 🤗

When I was a basic EMT training to be a paramedic, I used to work rodeo standbys for a local ambulance company that had the county contract. Cowboys are without a doubt the toughest people I've EVER seen. These guys can suffer untold physical trauma and will still refuse treatment and transport. You almost hope they lose consciousness so conscent is implied and you can do your job. We did horse racetrack standbys also, and jockeys are a pretty tough breed too. We had one who was kicked in the head and we had to wait for him to pass out so we could take him in. He ended up having a subdural hematoma. The bleed stopped on its own, but it could've easily been fatal if it hadn't.
Worked a ranch for my entire teen years and can attest to these facts. There are few jobs more physical than a working horse ranch...but doing Rodeo is a whole other level of pain....and craziness. Different breed of people who do that shit to be sure!
Grew up on a ranch in Texas. My father told me, “I’m going to raise you to be a lady, but you’re going to learn to work like a man.”
That work ethic has stayed with me my entire life.
Don’t know if I would suggest the life for everyone, but it certainly showed me just what I’m made of.

Most rewarding part of four seasons was watching Jimmy walk it to the bunkhouse with a new woman. Mia was just problems for Jimmy, almost was paralyzed from rodeo and she tells him basically rodeo and you can have me, that's not love.

It sucks waiting year after year for this. Especially since each season does not have many episodes in it. I plan to wait till all the episodes are out then I'll binge watch the entire season.
God it's so much pain waiting for Season 4. This is the best show ever. The only other show that had equal suspense, was "People of Earth" which they cancelled, because it was beginning to be too revealing. But in terms of raw acting and script, and scenery, nothing compares to Yellowstone.

I don't think it does. I have heard that they will have two spin offs. One is about the 4-6s and the other is 1883 and I think it is supposed to be how Yellowstone got started. All of them look outstanding!!!

I think it would be really cool/ interesting to see the back story of how Kayce got his brand. He and John have both mentioned that it was John who 'did that' to him, and some variation of why, but a flashback showing it would be awesome. I would love to see that in S4.
They have explained it. Kayce got his now wife pregnant and John demanded that he go and get an abortion. He wouldn’t and threatened to leave thus the brand.

13:30 my dad Boots Southerland plays Wade Morrow! His career goes all the way back to Lonesome Dove, where he played a Cavalry Sergeant. He's been in movies like No Country for Old Men, Terminator Salvation, Seraphim Falls, Doc West, Botte di Natale, and Sicario.
I have seen your Dad in stuff for many years and he always brings an authenticity to his roles that few can match. Great actor. Sad to see him killed off in this series. Wish they could have written it so he turned again and came back to the Bunkhouse. Would have been epic. Tell him he is admired by many of us "long in the tooth" fans!

I too was heartbroken when Longmire ended. I then came across Justified and I really enjoyed that too. But nothing can compare to Yellowstone. It's a complete package. Now I hope they will put season 5 on Prime Video.

The view of Montana is incredible, beautiful , would love to see the view in the winter, Wyoming too . For some unknown reason they haven’t discovered New Mexico, from Santa Fe to Ruidoso they need to discover its beauty. Forget about the big cities, see the country sides

Me too. Jamie was always trying to please his father. John seconded guessed him continuously., and failed to ask him what happen and to fix things John makes his own problems
I honestly think that Jamie was the one behind the hit, get rid of his family so the Yellowstone becomes his so he can sell
I’d like to see Jamie make good as well. He’s been a sympathetic character. But, I think they’ll make him go full villain.
