Daniel Tashian is a master producer in addition to being a great musician. He has helped Eddy create one of the best albums of the last few years.Flawless- every song is a gem.
This is simply breathtaking. Gorgeous. Thank god some people are still making soul music. This world is sorely hurting for it.

I maintain that the album in 2004 was the best released that year and probably one of the best since then. It should have been massive but got lost amongst inferior competition. It’s been a long time but I’m so glad there’s new music from AGCE and this song is a superb taster for the new album.
I can hardly believe in my ears. Such quality, and getting better and better throughout the song in every sense. Pop as an art, as if condensing Bacharach to Steely Dan (and yes: I totally agree with what's been highlighted here in the comments, including Paddy McAloon reference).

This is such a beautiful homage to the big band pop arrangements of the very late 60's/very early 70's. Gorgeous, lush retro arrangement and incredible harmonious singing. I can close my eyes and think it's 1972 as I am old enough to remember these types of songs.

I have been playing Erin's songs at work for years on my ipods. She makes makes music feel good again. I like the picture of Todd in the video by the way .

With more time on my hands these days, I went through some old issues of MOJO reading record reviews. A 2004 issue had a rave review of A Girl Called Eddy so of course I had to give her a listen on UA-cam. In short, I’ve become a huge fan and love the style and moods of her music. I was thrilled to learn she had a brand new release. Being old school, I ordered her new cd, which comes from Spain. I can’t wait to get it! I love this song & video! Given how travel is a no-go during this pandemic, this video is a perfect escape!

Soy un limeño que vive hace 33años en Europa pero recuerdo q de allí descubrí en las radios limeñas de los 80's a casi toda la buena música west Coast, desde Page", Robbie Dupree, Ambrosia, Doobie Brothers, Player, Todd Rundgren, Michael McDonald, Michael Johson, Eric Tagg,... Hasta todo el pop rock que sonaba en el mundo, y lógicamente allí también descubrí al maestro Burt Bacharach y que también hay una brizna de su estilo en esta canción etc.. Y mucha buena música más, George Duke, stanley clark, al Jarreau, Larry Carlton, lee Ritenour, Chick Corea, Jeff Lorber, George Benson, etc y mi ídolo, el Maestro Pat Metheny y muchísimos más que escuche en mi adolescencia en Perú en los años 80's, y ahora descubro que se sigue escuchando buena música como A girl Called Eddy" por mi compatriota Abraham Torres, y que sigamos culturizándonos por muchos años más.
Y gracias a los Dj's de esos años q me descubrieron la buena música por la radio y volar ...
