I was sick when I saw thibs sub him out for barret man, he was the only one making shots consistently during that game and then barret comes in and bricks a wide open 3😂😂

the loss is because we surrendered 70+ to SGA, Jwilliams who were "guarded" by DDV, IQ, Grimes, jHart, RJ and 18 TOs. Thibs didnt help but the loss isnt on him

@@iec7587 I actually agree with this as well. Hard to argue.. however RJs contract and the fact the knicks resigned him are the reasons why Quick is getting pulled for RJ in that 4th quarter when Quickley is just flat out a better scorer than RJ.

You could make a case that management is deliberately limiting IQ's minutes in the hopes that when he becomes a restricted free agent, offers from other teams will be lower, which the Knicks can match. It's all about money.

Literally almost threw the remote at the TV with the RJ/IQ substitution against OKC.- RJ proceeded to turn it over on the inbound pass and brick multiple shots. 2 games in a row that Thibs subbed IQ in the 4th when he was COOKIN! - It's inexcusable!-

IQ wanted $100 m for 4 years, Knicks passed because he would be paid more than Brunson which they got for a steal. To save face they purposely will not start him. If they make a trade for a 3 and D wing, their biggest need, IQ will be part of that trade because he's gone if they don't give him an extension. Barrett who has been improving every year including the beginning of this year, has hit a wall. Every time the Knicks try to improve via trade, they get the short end of the deal. Obi Toppin deal comes to mind.

Rj is a 2 not a 3 his playing out of position. Knicks have to many undersized 2s so Rj has to play the 3 so he can't take advantage of his opponent.

Quickly, would have a better fit b/c he is quick physical guard. Whereas, Donte is lanky and is not able to keep up against quick 2 guards.

I agree. Thibs has to go. Get a younger, innovative coach for today's NBA. Defense is really about the players' abilities and wanting to play defense. These systems don't work in this new open-ended offensive approach.

I think IQ is being hated on because he didn’t accept the deal they offered and are at a stalemate. The front office might have something to do his lack of playing time because I thought coach loved IQ.

TBH, I’m not mad at all for the trade. With having OG on defense and Brunson going lights out this season, I’m feeling really good about post season. I’m still realistic tho. We’re not deep enuff to make it to the chip but I got $$ on them going past 2nd rd.
Knicks going pass second round..? Pass Boston, Philly, Heat or Bucks.. unless injury to other teams or drastic Knicks roster changes happens.. Knicks isn't passing any one of those teams in the playoffs.. Knicks second round exit at best.

Thibs has sat RJ at the end of games in the past so I'm not sure why he doesn't want to do it sometimes if his shot is off. I thought he was a fan of IQ but maybe he doesn't want IQ to show up RJ too much 🧐🤣🤣. IQ is probably leaving town regardless so they may as well get the most out of him now. Pulling him when he is hot is just foolishness even if he doesn't stay with the team.

Once upon a time, Phil Jackson was not considered a better option than to lead the Bulls than Phil Collins; Popovich was not a more experienced head coach to lead the Spursl; Steve Kerr was not a proven option to replace Mark Jackson for the Warriors.
