Honey wake up, it's Regis card review season again
I like the mental picture that she's been hibernating since the last review season.
Mage having volley maul? Really. The only class flavor is that the spell slingers dont hit minions with their face. Rogue cant deal with big boards? Well theres warlock cards.
The other ones are fine they are pushing a rainbow spell dk, hunter getting warrior cards, control demonhunter with priest cards and pirate paladin. Perhaps priest can go face hou know beasts, weapons and burn spells.
what I'm worried about is priest getting beasts and secret. Although with only 40 cards it's just one secret? Easy to guess.
lackluster colour splashes, Lichking getting shaman cards, Thrall getting demon hunter cards(they're siblings right wait is demon hunter and malfulrion).
You know the eleven classes can be cut down to 3 classes mage board clear and burn. Warrior board clears and weapons. Finally Hunter beast and weapons.(No spells that go face). See eleven classes down to 3 classes. No healing and no Card draw.

Yeah I hate losing to OP stuff in Snap and not having access to the OP stuff. Then by the time I unlock it, something else is broken.

sooo damn happy to see blizzard leaning more into the multiclass type effects. i think they breathe so much more life into the game, and potentially many more variety in decks you see on ladder.
The introduction of discover permanently changed the game. It's like a more balanced Shredder. Then you look at explicit deck building options... It's the intersections between classes that are most interesting to stumble across or exploit

AFK could litterally be "at the end of your turn, give all other friendly minnions +2/+2" and it still would be too slow to play.
I would have to disagree because she just becomes a must kill for any class that can built a board over and over again because her downside basically freezing your board if you want the buff but with out the downside nothing stops you to just slap her down on already existing board
@@shrimpCurry there are plenty of cards that already do this exact effect if not better. A 5 mana must kill card is pretty standard now adays.
@@happygbugthe only other 5 mana minion that is scary to leave alive in standard currently that i can think of is goldbeard,lynessa which isnt much and can you also tell me anothe card that do what afk does because i cant think of another card that is gonna give all your minion +2 +2 every turn
@@shrimpCurry blind-eye sharpshooter, DragonBane, RC Rampage, Sonya water dancer, are all MUST kills at 4. Wishing well and gold beard at 5.
Burrow buster is also ran in just about every deck and it free trades into AFK while generating resources. 6 mana is when control classes
Afkay is 0 mana 0/5. It should be 5/5 with cannot attack or something. Kinda meh as it is.

Seeing Marin and his treasures reminds me of galakrond rogue with heistbaron togwaggle and the time I used crown to drop two malygeese on the board and just annihilate a Druid. Great times

Buttons in a rainbow deck should be called "double rainbow"
If Sunscreen is a holy spell, the Maul might be pretty good in Mage tbf.
Regis is incredibly reliable. Nobody is faster to upload, I love it!

While I love the tourist mechanic conceptually and for deck-building purposes, I am worried that F2P players like myself will have trouble building the "dual class" decks because you need all the tourist legendaries to make them. Somehow hoping they come up with an easy way to obtain the legendaries. 🙏
Definitely need to run Greedy Partner in a Lynessa deck to get those coins.

I dont play heartstone, but I like Regis. Here is my comment and my like.
I hope they explore some cool themes with the tourist cards, like pure Paladin thief rogue that add some complexity to the tourist gimmick, or a neutral card that rewards you for not playing tourist cards
Buttons could solve the rune issue with death knight, because now you can run any rune combination and fill out the rest with powerful shaman cards.
I think that Druid location can be used thrice in the same turn

On the other note the passenger, the aoe spells, sunscreen and drinks seam weak. Do i need spell damage minions just to play malted magma. Also weapons attendant really just a reprint. Sure just give paladin more rush down. Whatabout the classes that dont really attack like druid or priest or warlock? Summon a location is better. Or better yet. 4mana deal 2 damage to all enemy minions, summons a location from your hand.
@@ScherFire Honestly feels like they're making this set quite underwhelming as the trade-off for the duel-class mechanic of this set. Most of the cards so far don't seem very impactful - but we'll wait and see on that.

I've played Marin once so far picked Toli's Goblet and used it to get 6 Zolog's crowns. The opponent conceded when they saw what I duplicated.
If you're doing more Hearthstone, I'd love to see you collab with Rarran again.
Af Kay in dragon priest. You often build your board anyways and take another turn. Possible that the +6-+8damage you get, will get you there
I think the other use case for AFKay is 0 attack minions, ie totems. Which also isn’t great. But hey, totem shaman support! One card per year baby!

Top 1k legend without Snapping. Truly a god amongst gamers
Recently started playing hearthstone and this is the first expansion release I will be a part of. Are the preorder bundles good value? If so, which is recommended? I got the season pass and thought it was good value. Is this worse or better than pass?
Pass is the same thing as Pre-order, just name changed for after the expansion release.
As for the value, it's generally worth it, probably the best way to spend cash in the game (maybe also minisets but you can save up Gold for those). Normally, packs are ~$1 USD each, which is often used as a comparison point. In this case, the regular bundle is $50 for 60 packs, plus 2 Legendaries. With the Mega Bundle, it's still 2 Legendaries and 30 more total packs for $30 more, so it doesn't actually have more value, no real reason to get the Mega Bundle, but it's worth it if you want those cosmetics.
Also, general principle of the Tavern Pass' boost means that if you're planning on getting it at some point anyway, you may as well get it asap so you got that bonus right at the start of the expansion. (they really should just retroactively give you the XP bonus you would've earned if you purchase it later, but they don't)
Weapon Attendent in Rogue would shuffle the Ignis weapon back into deck so you could get your 10 cost weapon with that 6 cost body.

If you attack with Volley Maul, and you have Lynessa out, and you cast the sunscreen... it should cast twice. Which could make Lynessa an absolute monster.
I can see a mini-set neutral card with a text like this: "Deck Building: choose a class. Make this card a Tourist for it."
A cool idea, but potentially a balance nightmare, I could see it having something like 'cards from that class that start in your deck cost (1) more'
I don't think it's good really but the thing that I thought about with A. F. Kay is supporting cards with Deathrattles that can't attack on their own. Dropping a bunch of things like Foul Egg and then buffing them up at the end of turn.

I see AF Kay doing fun Totem stuff. Alot of those totems are 0 attack, you can build a good board of totems in the first 3-4 turns and then slam this. Follow up the next turn with bloodlust for a quick lethal

It's super curious that A.F. Kay's effect in the video gave +3/+3. Do we think they were considering buffing it? Because I find it hard to believe that even at +3 it needed to be nerfed.

Found a good way to make afk work swarm of light bugs afk cast it on 5. Or if afk dies too easy cast it with the 1 cost version hopefully on turn 6 giving you 6 3/3 lifesteal for 6.
The idea of tourists just feels like a way to force us to spend more money/dust. If it allowed access to ALL the cards from that class it would be a crazy enough idea to be fun but this just feels bad.

It all depends what the rest of set looks like, but I don't really see Buttons being an auto 5 star. Death knight only has 2 schools in frost and shadow so its relying heavily on the shaman spells that haven't been revealed yet and the magma drink seems pretty mid to me. Death knight already has crazy removal and a 1 of 5 mana 5/5 draw 2-3 is good not great IMO.

Somewhat doubt - it only allows access to class cards from this set, and the cards in this set are probably intentionally made to be pretty underwhelming - so I rather doubt many cards from this set will impact wild.

I feel you here, it's not a particularly elegant system.
There are some distinctions over Dual Class though. They don't have to be the same shared classes, so it opens up design space a little more. They also can't be discovered by the touring class, so that's important sometimes.
@moreregis that's fair enough I suppose but jeeze, they could have done something aside from only keyword it! Maybe the bottom half of the cards could have had the main class color and the top half would have had a neutral coloring, and adding Tourists would change that top half's coloring into the tourist class color.

I’m so disappointed with the A F Kay card to be honest. Such a fun character destroyed by a completely unplayable card.
So if Rainbow Mage and Rainbow DK fuse... trans DK? Cis mage? Bi Mage? Bussy DK?
Ouf, seems like this will be a really unimpactful set. Like just the tourist design, I'm guessing they planned on making the power level of the cards in this set kinda low to keep duel class shenanigans from being too strong - but even the legendries seem quite underwhelming. Here's hoping we see at least a few new archetypes to mix up the meta.
I don't really get the flavor of Hiking Trail. Why does a hiking trail give taunt minions? If anything it should give rush minions.
I think I might like this asymmetrical dual class better than the symmetrical dual class cards of the past, because those ones had the effect of homogenizing the classes that shared cards. Obviously not completely homogenizing them, but bringing both of their identities closer together where it decreased gameplay variety. Hopefully the tourists will allow for fun dual class shenanigans while still keeping classes distinct.
You should not try to logic ccg cards.
You discover bugs and turtles (things with shells) as you wander through the forest. Then you get sunburned, and you can't go hiking again until you put on sunscreen.
You discover Taunt Minions, because druid's taunt minions are usually Big, Huge, Animals.
we;re getting to have broken genn and baku for before the expansion starts i wonder whats gonna happen.
A.F: Kay is WAY to expensiv even for a Neutral card. This feel like a 2-3 Mana effect. 4 Mana would push it allredy but 5? If she would be like 3 Mana maybe you could find a place in your gameplan for it as a one time buff for all other minions you summond the turn you played her but other wise no idea how to fit her into a deck.
