- Medicaid is a tough subject to tackle. It varies by situation and by state and can be difficult to know who qualifies. It's often confused with Medicare but Medicaid is based on income and finances.

Accountable Aging and one other care management agency was mentioned - what was the other agency’s name please? “Near Care” or something…
Mir Care Consultants is the other care manager mentioned. They cover the Austin and Corpus Christi area. Here's their website: mircareconsultants.com/ If you're in a different part of the country you can find a certified manager in your area at: www.aginglifecare.org.
How do they qualify? Oh let us count the ways! And then once they 'qualify' Medicaid will take their home and all their assets. How family wealth gets financialized.
It's getting harder and harder to find doctors who will accept Medicaid. It truly is bottom of the barrel care, which in most cases is no care at all.
