- Setting up a IceKool (EvaKool) Ice Box for mounting to my 2015 Yamaha FX SHO. Will not fit any massive fish in this one however I also take BCF fish bags to store in the leg wells for those bigger fish.
Items list:
4x Hooks ($9.90 each Bunnings)
Plenty of Stainless steel bolts / washers and nuts (Under $20 Bunnings)
2x Turnbuckles ($15 each Bunnings)
1x Foam Stick on (400x500mm) - ($9.95 at Bunnings)
4x Rod Holders ($20 BCF)
2x Tie down ratchet straps ($9.95 for both at Bunnings)
Total cost for parts approx $130 Please note : Need to add rod clips for securing rods, will also be adding trolling mounts to the top of the Cooler (Railblaza mounts on sale $35 at Whitworths)
You're a natural on camera mate, and not an idiot. Could be an interesting channel-go for it.
nice. bolts inside out, that way you keep more clean inside. nuts with caps outside.
everything else its perfect. thanks for the idea.
Mate. Awesome video. Just made a similar setup for my Yamaha FX and was searching for tips, then your video popped up. I love your dual clasps attached to the ski as apposed to my single. I'll be changing as it seems better to have 4 secure points on your esky instead of my 3. Thanks for the tip.
@madmaxaussie glad it helped mate
This is unreal mate. Well done. Going to give this a crack on the weekend.
This is fantastic mate!! Thanks so much for this, definitely going to give this a try!
I tried this methods and worked perfectly thank you
I’m inspired excellent video thanks mate
I'd be inclined to use some sealant to stop the esky getting waterlogged over time, but what a great solution. I'm looking at Fishpro's and am having trouble justifying the extra cost they add for simp,y adding an esky and a sounder to a base model. APPROX 3-4k!!!
thats awesome mate
Nice bro, that’s gonna save me about $700 🤙 cheers
Flip the bolts around so the caps are inside and use cap nuts or nylocks on the outsde
Thanks mate I cut them down and put silicone over them
Great vid, very helpful. Thank you
Cool well done 👍
The salt water will eat the metal on the turn buckles and ratchets. Just use the straps to secure the cooler on the top and bottom. You can tie them tight enough that cooler won't move around. Or even some good strong paracord rope works.
Or wash them off after using em 🤦🏾♂️
It will take a while and how much do those things cost?
And if u want the exact one that fishski use it's a dometic Waeco coolice 42 or 68 or 111
Why not two more stainless links (turnbuckles) for the rear instead of those ratchet straps?
That’s an awesome build mate, very impressed. Anyway you can link the metal adjustable tie rods??
Sorry for not replying sooner, they were from Bunnings.
Do you know where can I get one in the USA ?
How many Litter Ice Chest is that?
Cut the bolts down & put epoxy or hot glue some foam over it so u dnt damage the fish or scrape ur hands
Cheers, I used silicone later on
What's with sitting the esky n top of the spray tale tail?just redirect the spray somehow?
Yep, you can disconnect the spray tail to just shoot through the bottom near the jet. There should be some youtube vids on how to. Only downside is not having a constant view of how your water pump is performing however most skis don't have a vertical spray these days.
Not bad 👍
Wb the water shooter on the back what did you do with that
@@goatc8415 it can be redirected to shoot out the back
Only problem is that the salt water is going to eat up those ratchets with rust and they won't last very long. The springs will get rusted.
Just rinse is down after using Salt Away (as you would your entire jetski)
He knows that
CLANG CLANG CLANGITY CLANG
I dont think you drilled enough holes into your cooler.. think it needs about a dozen more..
28 I think lol
Should post a vid of how you did yours better....moron.
