As a formen patient of leishmaniasis tropica the treatment applied to me was Glucantime Anthimoniate calculated by weigth which in my case were 48 injections.
I contracted this as a young child in an Asian country in the 1960s. The location was on my forehead and my forearm. Treatment was 7 injections into the affected area for about 5 weeks. This treatment did stop the spread of the disease. It has left two permanent scars about the size of a quarter that are always a point of staring and curiosity, especially among young children. It does become a point of trying to figure out how I got the scars (were you shot in the forehead?) as very few have heard of the disease.
I live in Florida. We have sand-flys. They look just like two you have shown in the slides. From time to time they get very bad here. At those times many get sick, both young and old. As well cats and dogs. No one is being tested for any parasites just because we are not considered underdeveloped. We have a high rate of flesh eating Bactria cases. They never call it by it's name. Why do you think that is? The only ones finding any answers are our visitors. I'll tell more of my story to you all, as i go through this course.
Oh my goodness that may have been far too logical of a thought for the fine exceptional species of the white North American homosapien class. We only get illnesses here that are autoimmune or idiopathic in origin that mirror some very common parasitic illnesses. But no worries... we don't test so that means it doesn't happen here right? Go to the dermatologist and tell them you have a parasite and you will likely leave with a prescription for a antipsychotic medication. Go to the dermatologist only complaining of rosacea... you will likely be prescribed an anti-parasitic medication.
We too are are plagued with these little blood sucking vectors on my farm in Texas. A recent study was published by Texas A&M documenting culicoides distribution in College Station Texas. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30651144/ They found several of them harboring parasites that are known to be pathogenic to humans. so it would be correct to say all 650 kinds of sand-fly's can infect the host with leishmaniasis? The reason i ask is in today's global society, i would think just the disease would be the most important thing to test for. Not the regions each parasite is found. On top of the compartmentalized way in which the medical up-and-comings are taught, the added Geo-locations would further cause no-diagnosis or misdiagnosis of parasitic diseases.
I find it wild that most parasites don't seem to hop that southern border. Parasites are rampant in the US, but doctors usually gain lifelong customers by just calling something an autoimmune or mental issue. I had filarial worms in my face for 7 months and I had to figure it out myself after seeing 4 different Dr's. Finally I got a prescription for ivermectin. Also lost quite a bit of sight that year. They choose not to diagnose parasites.

@@esp92310 I'm sympathetic to your experience, but I don't think any doctor willingly chooses not to diagnose a parasitic disease. They are difficult to diagnose due to their presentations being so similar to much more common differential diagnoses. It is only after multiple failed attempted treatments, that it becomes clear that this is not one of the more common diseases and the possibility of parasitic diseases is explored.
My lesions do this. I've been diagnosed with delusional parasitosis. They barely looked me over. I'm 3 yrs in and I'm absolutely petrified. Is there a way you can help me? One of my lesion is on the very top of my head. My ears ring horribly and my mouth is also effected. The roof of my mouth. Please help in anyway you can? Can I send you a pic of my bites?

A relative of mine contracted CL in Costa Rica. In total he started with 13 lesions. Now half of them have healed, leaving scars. Contrary to what was said in the video his lesions are very painful when touched. Apparently in Costa Rica Ozone therapy (bagging, Ozone Sauna, Ozone intravenous infusion or Anal Ozone gas infusion) is the preferred therapy. Why are the different ozone therapies not mentioned in this video?

Ivermectin or Albendazole for cure?
I have had these lesions for over 2; years. I went to over 20 drs in Florida. I can't get answers can i get testing done by myself if so where?
You need to go to an infectious disease specialist and confirm what it is.

Enlarged spleen and liver are symptoms for Visceral Leishmaniasis, one that is found in your organs. How are you doing now?
