I still think it was a waste that they didn’t do more with Douxie. Such an interesting character, so much potential. They could have at least given us a prequel season to show us what he was up to during the events of Trollhunters and 3Below. A little monster hunting, a few interactions with other modern sorcerers, and of course some comedic relief from Archie. Just some more time with the character before they got into the heavy world ending stuff.
I’ve just realized that it isn’t a shtick that makes it so music plays whenever he’s spell casting. As a musician, he’s using musical notes to be the written medium for his spell casting because he doesn’t have the same processing ability that Merlin does to do it entirely in his head, she he has the gauntlet which is effectively his grimoire. When he plays with the gauntlet, he isn’t “selecting” a spell, he’s “writing” a spell. When he casts without the gauntlet, it’s significantly less potent. So he *can* cast without it, but it heavily aids him
Wish they did more with Douxie he was my favourite character from tales of Arcadia and by far the most powerful member of the film’s cast but they down played him so much

He’s an orphaned British teenage wizard with messy black hair, a black and white winged companion, a white-bearded mentor who dies falling from a high tower, he briefly dies and has a final conversation with said mentor before coming back to life, and… oh yeah. He even has a lightning bolt shaped scar!

They can seek out Merlin and Nari earlier and they can help understand and use the time stone. Everyone has memories back, some time passes and Douxie helps Claire make her staff. Jlaire marry and everyone lives happily ever after. btw, I assume Nari either hid on Camelot for hundreds of years or hid by herself somewhere and came to Camelot just before Wizards started, this is assuming she broke away from the Arcane Order right after the Battle of Killahead Bridge

It's so sad that Wizards only get one season. I think it would be better to see Douxies development, character and power groth and his relationship with Merlin for at least two seasons. Because in just one season it was a little bit fast. And that's really sad because he is a really cool guy

No hate to any authors... but whenever I go to Wattpad and search Douxie, it's always smut, lemon all those stuff, Ik its for their imagination, but I feel like people think of Douxie like that, yes he might be flirty but overall he is a nice respectful guy... Actually it isn’t, because the concept artist for Douxie and Zoe made it seem they were once a couple in the past. Once a member of the creation team suggests something, that makes it possible in the series they contribute to. A true crackship example is Douxie X Krel.
