It's normal to get angry, frustrated, and doubtful when bad things happen to you or your loved ones. We can never understand why God allows certain things to happen, but we should never make judgements about His existence or reliability based on emotional responses to bad things. I do believe that God gave people brains for a purpose, allowing us to come up with methods to cure disease, hence science. Rejecting medical help and putting God to the test just for the sake of It is unwise. It's like jumping off a building on fire but instead of using the parachute you say "Nah God's going to pick me up". He is not the one to blame here.

At my Mother's funeral, I was given one of those cards with her picture on it and a description of her and her life and on the back is a poem and one line in it said that God only takes the best... That pissed me off. Why does God take the people we need and the world needs and leaves us with crap? God failed me and my family. My Mother could have survived her cancer. None of her doctors found it even though she apparently had it for almost 10 years AND she had severe osteoporosis so her bones should have been checked regularly! It's getting to where I'm losing my faith in anything....

You people have such a narrow view of life and faith. How is death and “inconvenience” and “misfortune” god failing? Do you think your life is supposed to be completely “perfect” through and through if you praise and pray to god, how do you know what a perfect life is? Certain blessings and upbringings in your life can only come about through the deaths and misfortunes, yet when the good times come you forget about the downs and how they were necessary for the ups, and when the downs come impossible is it for you to look to the future and know god has more for you, instead of cursing god for what has happened to you in the moment. Might as well share my opinion, more on religions existence than holding grudges on god but I believe all religions were made by men to give people something to believe in some hope but other men saw its power and used it for their greed and not much has changed since. Well that's not true. There are a few obvious references to Jesus. "Healing hand held back by the deepened nail" references his crucifixion and "Trust you gave, a child to save. Left you cold and him in grave" is meant to convey everyone's disappointment after their supposed Messiah ended up dead. But yeah, the idea of faith being stupid is pretty universal.

This song has become one of my favorites. My dad prayed to God to heal him and my mom, and He didnt. Now they're both gone. Mom fell ill and Dad went through hell the last five years of his life taking care of her. He died a year after she did. So, this song is definitely relatable now.

You people have such a narrow view of life and faith. How is death and “inconvenience” and “misfortune” god failing? Do you think your life is supposed to be completely “perfect” through and through if you praise and pray to god, how do you know what a perfect life is? Certain blessings and upbringings in your life can only come about through the deaths and misfortunes, yet when the good times come you forget about the downs and how they were necessary for the ups, and when the downs come impossible is it for you to look to the future and know god has more for you, instead of cursing god for what has happened to you in the moment. How can you know happiness without ever having experienced sadness? You can pray for patience and you wont magically wake up more patient, he sends tests and patience builders to make you more patient and answers your prayer that way. Living with and through christ is perfection and cure from all but not in the way a human brain can comprehend. When a loved one falls ill, and they end up passing from their illness or a ‘random’ accident, why is that god “failing” how do you know? Might as well share my opinion, more on religions existence than holding grudges on god but I believe all religions were made by men to give people something to believe in some hope but other men saw its power and used it for their greed and not much has changed since. You can still believe in it but I think a lot of religious things are corrupt and stuff happened which never changed so its stayed corrupt, but this is why religion has a bad name but it wasn't meant to be a bad thing in the beginning, think of a beacon of hope turned into a wildfire, but still religion is fine it's that 1 in a 1000 that's corrupt the ones that started using it for them to gain and not to help them in their struggles, but I am not religious, don't need to believe in a higher power to give me hope

@@delicatemindarts9786 simular thing happened to me at about twelve years old, mum and step father were fighting out at the beach we used to stay at when we were young during Christmas here in new Zealand, she up and left and took us three kids with her in her civic hatchback, ended up stopping on the side of the road on the way home for whatever reason I can't quite remember, I'm 30 now so it was a long time ago, but I found ...and justice for all on the side of the road, scratched up to shit would skip every ten seconds but I loved what I heard in blackened, got an after school job not long after that and ended up saving and buying every album and DVD I could get my hands on in in our local warehouse, that was my first listen and I was hooked, and what ultimately became a complete love for heavy metal, mainly Metallica, Megadeth Iron Maiden and all the usual suspects. But also cancer is so mighty that Christian science couldn't save her anyway, that's why we have doctors & medication.
