I toured Alaska on HAL with my mom and aunt in the pre-COVID days. On our embarkation day, we took part in a ship tour with the activity director. He showed us the spa, the night club, and the dining areas. I felt much more comfortable navigating my way around the ship after taking that one hour tour. I would highly recommend taking that tour on your first HAL cruise.
That is such a GREAT suggestion!! I've seen the kitchen tour, but didn't' know they had a "first day" tour to show you around the ship. What did you think of HAL? Will you be sailing with them again? 😀
I am leaving June 9 2024 HAL to Alaska. I want to get a paper copy of my boarding pass. The check in area on website says wait 15 days prior so barcode is on pass. It is 13 days prior and no barcode. When can I print boarding pass. This is my first cruise. I am a nervous wreck! Thank you. PS I have downloaded the Navigator app and no boarding pass there either. I have called HAL, of no help!! Let me know your thoughts.
On our last cruise we couldn't even print our boarding passes...they made us pull it up on the Navigator app (so sad!!). Were you able to complete your check in online, and print your luggage tags? You may need to do that first before your boarding pass shows up. And please don't be a nervous wreck!! Once you are boarding/on the ship...the crew take care of you. It's just that their phone people and website SUCKS

I will soon board a HAL cruise ship! I am looking forward to it! I ordered a frig for my room! I love a full ice bucket in my room every evening!
Yay!! But I don't think you need to order a fridge for your room. The rooms already have fridges in them. 😀
