Who'd of thunk of poaching pears in tea? Looked really good Joe, thanks for sharing.
I got the idea of poaching a pear from an Australian cooking show. They did a Chinese 5 Spice Poached Pear. One day the idea for substituting this tea just kinda hit me. I tried it and viola. Thanks!
Yes sir. That is my type of desert as well. Always love your cooking videos Joe. Keep them coming. I will be trying this. Thanks for sharing
Thank you Mark, I really appreciate your support my friend. I hope you enjoy :)
Howdy from Arizona...and as I have said to you before, you could run my chuck wagon anytime!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gawd!!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice desert with out the real sugar. I will try that soon.
Those honey sticks work well looks good brother!
They do! My kids love them too. Somehow it tastes better from the straw then it does from the mason jars....go figure lol Thanks!
Thanks Joe. Just ordered a pile of licorice tea. Can't wait to try and share it.
Now that's original! Awesome.....gonna try this for sure!
Interesting!
I put star anise in my rice. Adds a little extra flavor. That pear looks pretty good.
Thanks for the video brother.
Thanks Mark! I have heard of using Star Anise that way but I've never tried it. Thanks for watching my friend!

Some of my most favorite tea.. I probably have about 6 different type they carry in my pack right now, lol. I love the idea. I'll have to try it sometime.. I bet the tea itself tastes amazing as well!!
The poaching liquid left over is amazing. My kids "fight" for it lol Yogi makes some great tea. Which are your prefered? Thanks!
This is a must try for me. Thanks for sharing.
I'm not big on licorice but i"m willing to give it a try. Thanks for sharing Joe. PS I just made some indian spiced lentils yesterday :)
Interesting recipe! Also, what was the musical background? It reminds me somewhat of a hip-hop bluegrass fusion band I like.
It's listed as Laid Back Electro as far as mood and style. The song is Wildside 2 by Niklas Ahlstrom. And thank you, I like it a lot too. Thanks Charles!
Thumbs up for the video. Thumbs down for licorice LOL
Gary Lawson I agree. Licorice is one foul tasting ingredient. I'd certainly try the pear with the honey!
that looks yummy! what is the name of the stove that you're using?
Hate Licorice, BUT the Silver Lining is that there will be one less person fighting for it when the Apocolypse comes! You all enjoy it!
LOL haha! I have a few other friends like that lol I'll try to figure out something more appropriate for you anti-licorice folks :) Thanks Leslie!
This looks so tasty! Why do I always forgot about dessert in the bush.
