0:22 - 0:24 Snow so slept in when she lived at the castle... that probably makes this Regina's first inside joke + that smile at 1:43 when Snow says she couldn't imagine living that way; even before she says she wouldn't kill her and "You didn't do this" :D This is one of the best episodes of OUAT in my opinion

For just a moment, she was ready to take Snow's hand and let her pull her out...but then...

No, Regina doesn't 'deserve' her...but if we only allowed people have what they deserved, that would be a dark cold world.
@@shermanlee4037 regina should get goodness i guess but i meant she shouldn't get it from snow atleast. After everything she did to snow. But i guess forgiveness is the best thing ever. And snow having that is pretty good to see. I just wish fans would see that too and stop hating on snow and loving Regina for no reason.
Regina Mills Are Twins
This is one of what J.R.R. Tolkien called a 'trembling moment', a point in a story or a life when everything hangs in the balance of a choice. Regina was ready to try, and we already know that she is _capable_ of changing. But at that worst possible moment, they came face-to-face with the consequences of Regina's actions, and...quite a set of consequences they were. She whispers that her soldiers had gone further than she intended, but I suspect her orders were more or less along those lines. It's just that it's one thing to _order_ something like that, and another thing to actually see it. Even Regina was shocked by the reality of it...but it was too late.
Regina said “We’ve gone further than I thought.” She knows it’s exactly what she told them to do, she just didn’t realize where they were. If she had, she might have tried to convince her to choose a different route.
@@TiffanyAllen1784 Actually, she said, "THEY've gone further than I thought." I think she gave them the off-hand order, 'kill them all'...and didn't give any of them another thought until she and Snow come on the piles of bodies rotting in the sun. Her army did what she told them to do, but I don't think she really _thought_ about it until they came upon the corpses. In many ways Regina is stuck in adolescence, but possesses political and magical power, a bad combination.
@@shermanlee4037 Just because that’s what you want her to have said doesn’t make it true. Try turning on the captions here or on Disney+ or on the DVD. Hell, if you google it, you can probably find the actual script online. She says “we’ve.”
@@shermanlee4037 I'm with Tiffany; hearing the words and reading the lips, Regina is saying 'we've'. You say 'adolescence' where I would say the natural egotism of young childhood. With Cora for a mother and with kindly but very lonely Prince Henry for a father, plus no less than a Dark One as a mentor then a heartbroken middle-aged King for a husband in an arranged marriage, up to this point in her life Regina had been starved of that sense of peace that comes naturally when experiencing any sort emotionally healthy relationship.

Yeah, Regina has never really had a healthy relationship with someone else, and it's by no means all her fault. Oddly enough, Snow is probably the closest thing in her life, even back then, to a healthy relationship, which might explain why Rumple used this incident the way he did. The last thing Rumple would want is for Regina to realize that Snow is the best thing in her life and reconcile with her.
