- From being harshly bullied in his youth to pulling the first triple cork on a snowboard as well as X-Games gold medal’s, Dew Tour Gold’s, the Olympic’s, amazing video parts, Shredbots, meat helicopter's, jumping on his snowboard while Ken Block jump’s next to him in a car, almost 5 million youtube views on his movie Horgasm, yoga, meditation, water fasting, and journey’s to the spirit world on ayahuasca. Torstein Horgmo is a living legend! We have all seen that one poor kid in school that is a bit different and because of this all the other kids decide they are going to make his life a living hell. This was Torstein when he first started school, life sucked so bad he contemplated ending it all. Then something amazing happened, Torstein found snowboarding. It’s safe to say snowboarding saved his life and from the moment he strapped in he had a natural talent and for the first time in life he found real friends as well as something he was deeply passionate about. They pushed him to enter his first contest in Norway and he won! This was the catalyst and the rest is history. For my entire life until I was around 12/13 I was exactly like Torstein said he was, but what changed for me is I watched Horgasm and developed a passion for board sports that gave every day a purpose from then on.

This is my second time listening to this episode. Torstein is a extreemly wise dude! Its cool to be 50 years old and get this impressed by a younger mans thinking.
So easy to forget but everytime you get a chance to dig deeper, be it interviews or podcasts, you realize these guys worked so damn hard, they still do.
Genuinely amazing interview even for people who don’t snowboard. He’s always been my fav rider with how stylish and locked in stuff is and inspired so much of my snowboarding but it makes it even better that he seems such a nice guy. Amazing interview.

He reminds me so much of myself but now I’m just an old dude that built my young kids there own backyard ropetow and park. My son landed his first 3 the other day and my daughter loves hitting the rails I built. It’s like being a kid again when we session the park, and share the stokes with them. Rode up the T-bar with Torstein a few seasons back at saas fee, came across as a humble dude. Just as pumped to hit the sidehits on the way to the park as the actual park. Sick episode and everyone should check out Factor films two videos "up in the sky' and "they came from".
