My wife likes watches but on a recent walk down Collins St in Melbourne she stopped in her tracks outside the VC AD....it was the picture of the 1921 in the windows that stopped her in her tracks. It's such a stunning piece.
Loved the style of video. I’ll be getting mine in 40mm white gold. Your videos helped inform me and helped make my decision on what I believe is one of the best and earliest lines of tool/dress watches.
It's a fantastic watch! What I find really interesting is that it's original inception, purpose and UX was almost the modern definition of a toolwatch, a watch specifically configured for the driver of that era. These days many consider this piece to be a dress watch...which doesn't do it justice. Great watch and a fantastic video 🙂
I'm planning to get the white gold 40mm soon, but I would really prefer the original 1919 version in a larger case. The original small seconds at the rotated 6 position (i.e. 7:30) is correctly aligned with the dial and presents a nice balance with the offset crown and VC logo. But the current version with the small seconds at rotated 3 (4:30) is misaligned and makes the whole dial lopsided. Frankly this drives my OCD crazy, but at the end of the day it's still a lovely watch and I expect I'll get used to it 😐 PS - when my hands are at 10 and 2 on a steering wheel I can't even see the face, so I'm not convinced about the whole 'driver's watch' story (many experts seem to doubt this too). But the 'preacher's watch' story does seem to be genuine, even if it only accounted for 2 sales 😏
I’m a huge fan of the American 1921 especially in the 36.5mm and in the white gold. That thing fits like a charm!

Great Video!
Cheers Kev!
Love it. My wife and I own and share the 36.5mm white gold. I wouldn’t change the size at all. It’s perfection.
I love the 40mm pink gold version. I will never be able to afford it , but I love the fact that it is out in the sophisticated wild. Best regards Oni
In some ways, this would be the ultimate dress watch flex, because it's such a statement. Love it. Andrew
My favorite watch from The trinity is the 40mm historique in rose gold. Perhaps one day…. 🤤
Like the video!!! Now let's see 😄
Grail watch💯🤙🏻
100 years old design, That is something!!!.
In strictly design point of view, between yellow gold and white gold which gild do you think if matches better with this particular design and watch?
