Very cool. You have a .30/40? Here, arms in that caliber are rare. What is not rare are arms in .303 British. In times past .312" jacketed bullets were way more difficult to find. Every now and then shooters would get their SMLE fitted with a take off barrel with a .308" bore, then have a SAAMI spec chamber cut in .303 British. Of course this meant reloading with custom dies. Guys were generally happy with these conversions, but it is still not as common to see conversions like that. The rise in availability of bullets meant for 7.62×54r and 7.62×39mm has meant these conversions remain rare but not unknown.
