I test drove the 2019 Honda Insight and I liked it overall... but sadly Honda forgot the lumbar support, cross traffic alerts, and proper blind spot monitoring.
Yes. Yes. Yes. I enjoyed my test drive as well. But in a world where a Mazda 3 has an excellent blind spot warning system, and a Subaru CrossTrek has great cross traffic warnings and reverse automatic braking, surely Honda could do at least the same.
And the price reflects that - with other comparable cars in its class/segment. I have bought. If like me you do so, you did it on the grounds that it more than compensates for these apparent omissions by its superior fundamental value - better handling, smoothness, performance, mpg, tech, reduced cabin noise, etc, in comparison to other gas-hybrids. In the end, its up to the individual on whether or not one feature is a deal-breaker on not - only, be realistic about the price-to-features in your comparison in the context of a specific car segment (e.g. gas-hybrid).
Honda put the 12v battery inside the center console panel which is basically inside the cabin and that is just weird and odd place to put it In my opinion.
Can you do an overall comparison video to the Accord. I really like the lanewatch camera and was disappointed the new Accord didn't get one. I still ended up getting the EX but now wish I could have waited for this one.
Rodrigo i think they drive them when they get them in because they are directed to make sure everything’s works and there are no defects in things like the paint.
OMG!!!! I really want this car! Amazing value for the money and its a very attractive car. I've had 3 Civics, 1 Accord and 2 Honda motorcycles over the years hence my UA-cam handle. lol
I really like this car. Santa Maria! I live in Bakersfield😁 we have high temps especially jun to sept do you think they'll affect mpg much? Just note that I can park my car in a shade while I am at work. Thanks again! I'm very much interested in getting EX but do you think dealer can leather wrap steering wheel? Thanks so much and greetings from boiling bako👍
Robert Tyminski it really affects the mpg as the battery must be warm to function and usually on my insight I get 60 mpg summer and usually winter it’s much lower (nyc) 45 mpg
Is it normal for it to make a noise right when you start to accelerate? Noise is like an engine is running but then it stops then it becomes quiet as mouse. It happens every time I turn on the car.
Angel Symmetrika Unfortunately the clarity is such a large vehicle. Honda also used some legacy items on the clarity's interior like the civic steering wheel and infotainment system. Insight solves all size and interior issues of the clarity for me but they still went with that silly lane watch. I've been teetering back and forth between going hybrid or full electric and now that the insight is finally out, I'm feeling really underwhelmed by it and I think it's pushed me over the edge to settle on something like the chevy Bolt ev or waiting for the Kia Niro ev. The instant torque and ability to refuel at home is a strong influence on me.
Despite being a sales manager, thank you very much for doing excessive sales pitch in this video. I enjoyed this video.

I agree Albert and I would have bought it if it had a lift back in stead of a trunk.

They have to save certain features for higher level hybrids in the fleet lineup

I’m more impressed that you used your signal. Lol. It was really quiet I like that. Waiting for the 2019 Odyssey 😉
Front of the accord and back of the insight 😍

This is an insanely good car
No wonder i be seeing new cars having about 90 miles while being in the lot.

Hey Edward could you make a walkaround review of the features?
Do you still think the civic is a good car to have? Especially for a 23 year old?
How does it drive compared to the civic?
I'll be extremely interested in a low mileage used Insight EX someday, for under 17k. Thats the most I'll pay for any car.
Al F I got an amazing deal for an LX model for 18k
Al F also 17k is a bit too low for a good car
Keep dreaming
Nice boat you got there.
Great car - great intro music!
Did you use the Brake Hold in the red lights?
I did not

Robert Tyminski it’s already leather
Tyler Wong
Not in the EX just the Touring trim only
William E no the steering wheel
thanks for this pov drive
What camera do you use? Do you use a stabilizer?
MICHAEL A. JACKSON TOYOTA my camera gear is in the description. It’s the osmo+
Your Honda Man sweet thanks. I use the osmo mobile but I need a normal drone. The i2 draws to much attention. Love the channel!
Thanks I use the spark and it’s definitely adequate for what I do with the car reviews
Is this quieter than the Civic?
I believe so. I think overall, the engine noise is quieter than the civic.
And crazy quiet when the gas engine isn't running.
Fadic4 much quieter
It’s quieter than my Wife that’s for dam sure ....
I test drove this and its quieter than the Prius prime
Is there a way to downshift in this car if you're, say, going down a hill?
No gears so no downshifting. But that is what the regen paddles are for.
I want one!
Love the car

Ayzaak Rocky very normal it’s the electric engine
Do these lease well?
Its a nice car but they left out a few things including a bigger battery and plug.

Could you review an ex trim level?
It would ne nice if this were offered in a sport trim as well with a 6 speed transmission
Shane h it wouldn’t be available in regular transmission as it must be a cvt
Shane h it’s a hybrid car not a regular gas car
Poor 1st generation. I hope it got a car wash. Nice car for 2019. Thats 52 miles per galon is awesome!!
$26 out the door?🤔
camera too high, u should lean the chair back for better pov. nice car tho
Your pulling our legs - sounds like the mic was turned off. Otherwise, we would have heard (maybe ) your voice, or the radio.
