I would love to see a comparison for spelling you see and all about spelling. I was torn for which to get my son, went with spelling you see since it was the default for the timberdoodle kit. But now wondering about my decision
You’re so inspiring! I used your printable flow chart for both my boys (3 + 5 years old) and it has really helped me. Thanks for all that you do! I’m so glad you’re 1 year ahead of me…my oldest is in kindergarten haha.
@@MakingEverydayMagic I am interested in your take on this. (Full disclosure: I'm a major grammar nerd and actually teach grammar to adults and am an editor.) I'm using the Poodle series with my 1st & 3rd graders, and we're half way through the first book "Poodle Knows What," but I'm... struggling to like it. I don't feel like the silly poem/story is really calling attention to the parts of speech in a way that make sense and sticks with my kids. MCT uses a lot of strange, archaic vocabulary that my kids get hung up on, and it's impeding comprehension and retention. I don't know... I haven't given up on it yet, but I am just not loving it the way I was hoping we would. I started adding grammar drill worksheets (from K-5) at the end of each chapter to focus the learning, which feels like it's helping, but so far I'm not impressed with the learning outcomes of the Poodle program, especially for how much it costs. I'm interested to hear how others are using this and how they feel their kids' retention is with it.
We are officially post Labor Day! Best of luck this school year to those of you starting today!!!
First day of first grade homeschool went well here! Love your tips
Congrats!!

I'll move that up the list.

The what kits? Just can't hear the word☺️
Probably Timberdoodle
I am very eager to hear about how the Poodle series worked for your homeschool. There is just so little out there about it!
I have a dedicated poodle video coming on 9/20.

You're my opposite. I'm learning what Poodle is teaching myself.😅😅 Grammar is my short coming for sure.
@@JustAnotherViewer10 what curriculum do you suggest for 1st grade?
