My favourite Doors album is Strange Days and I love it even more than their debut Larry. I also like a lot Waiting For The Sun, although it has a more poppy and lighter sound than the first two albums. But I agree with you. They have a very consistent discography.

"Strange Days" made the biggest impression on me. It was a real jump from my cassette recording of "The Best of the Doors" vinyl record. And "Live at the Hollywood Bowl" took that even further...

I have the doors the collection cd box set. All 6 albums barely a bad track among them. Great remastering job too.

Larry, l always enjoy your presentations. Every studio album from "the doors" through "An American Prayer" has been a pinnacle of rock and roll to me. When l was in high school l took an English course called "Rock Poetry". The instructor arranged with the faculty that my band could perform on stage in the auditorium during school hours where there would be an audience of different students from the English classes. One of the songs from our sets was "Light My Fire", which was one of the first songs l ever learned, that l sang and played keys on. Likewise, when you're a teen that age you would play house parties and high school and junior high dances. Thanks.

Strange Days is my fav Doors album, followed by LA Woman and the debut..They are all amazing..you said it Larry..very consistent catalogue..I ignored posthumous Morrison releases..No Jim..No Doors..great video Larry👍❤glen

The 2017 remaster of the debut includes Break on Through completely uncensored. Ontop of that, it's the original stereo mix, not some remix. It's on all streaming platforms. I think it's the best sounding readily available release of the album.

Good video and I listened to it through my new bluetooth headphones..... your voice sounds great. 👍 The Doors are one of my favourites. I have those remixed CDs but I prefer the older ones and the LPs. I am so used to them that any small changes are annoying. It's hard to pick a favourite but I usually settle on Morrison Hotel followed by Strange Days or LA Woman. My favourite songs are The Changeling, Strange Days, Hyacinth House, Spanish Caravan, The Spy, My Eyes Have Seen You, The Crystal Ship and ..... too many. Since the emergence of the Internet we have been able to broaden our world and learn new things like "Waiting For The Sun is considered a weak Doors album." As you know, we used to get our music information through fanzines, word of mouth and magazine reviews; I had never heard any negativity towards Waiting For The Sun album until the Internet. 😭 ☺️ I am glad you like it and it's good you like The Soft Parade. I will admit it's not my favourite but Shaman’s Blues is excellent. Cheers.

I love all of the Doors albums. They were the darker, cynical side of the counter-culture. And anyone who thinks Morrison was a drunken hobo is wrong. He was a "bad drunk" like some people are. He was also a very fine thinker and Dionysiac figure. Cheers.

Basically agree, except I never got into Strange Days as much. Still love it, but probably my least favorite. And for a semester in college I played The Soft Parade in my car at least once a week on the way to class. Not sure why, but I still like it maybe more than it deserves. The first and last album are tied for favorites. And I like the live stuff a lot. That version of Light My Fire is amazing, same with Not To Touch The Earth. The unreleased songs make it worth it too. Who Do You Love, Build Me A Woman, Close To You, Universal Mind, Dead Cats Dead Rats, Gloria. The complete Celebration Of The Lizard is a tour de force, as Morrison himself put it in at least one live recording. I think the band has put out all the shows that were recorded by now, I have them all. For me they edge out BOC and CCR for favorite American band.

Slowly but surely getting around to all your older videos...I'll get to them all though, as sure as my name is...whatever the hell my name is...I like your parodies of the Harry & Meghan documentary; now let's see them do a parody of you and Mollie's videos! As for negative comments Larry, as I always say sometimes, all negative comments are negligible so don't worry about them...

I have a theory that you shouldn't listen to the Doors over the age of 21.

I have a theory that your theory is very wrong. I am 66 and I listen to The Doors a lot, as do many people over the age of 21...
