@Blank. You don't need to have done it to understand the mechanics of doing something like that. They have done something similar by putting the 71 Challenger Scat Pack body on a 2015 Challenger R/T chassis. It's not as difficult as you would think, it just takes a lot of planning & working out. Anyone here from B is for build? 😂 I hope the cars featured on this have the Eleanor licence. If they do how much would it cost?
Eleanor has to
Be the one of the best looking mustangs forsure
That's ridiculous, one of the most iconic muscle cars made and simply stunning and you say played out? Thats not possible, most idiotic thing I've heard this guy say.
Couldn't agree more
Must not watch him much then
That's exactly right Skyler, I don't watch for that very reason anymore, I'm sure he has many more ignorant things to say these days, no "car guy" would dare say that about that stang.
The Mustang is iconic. Not this poorly designed movie prop. They ruined a good Mustang to make that. Richard is right. It was a fad. It's no longer a fad. It's played out. Mustang fastbacks are too valuable to butcher with ugly scoops and battleship gray paint. Ford made a beautiful shaker hood scoop. Eleanor's scoop looks like a piece of heating duct was bondod to the hood.
Get what he's saying, live the Eleanor car, but seen some really bad and cheap attempts online that people think are great , which kind of takes the edge off
It has been played out and the original '71 still can't be beat
Now the real Eleanor is freaking nice from the first go in 60 seconds.
The real Eleanor is a 1971 dressed up as a 1973 mustang
Haters gonna hate.. an hour in these guys find their stride and bring an awesome fkn podcast.. best one rogans had in a while.. good job boys
Classics don't get played out. That's what make them classic.
My issue... they are cutting out all the frame parts that are over 550 mPa. They just weakened the frame.
I love how rogan keeps asking Richard brands and he doesn't know any 😂
went to high school with a kid who drove one of these, restored it with his dad i think. but his was actually painted a decent color and not over-chromed. really, never saw the big deal about them when the movie came out.
Joe "lets talk about hypothetical car scenarios" Rogan interviews Richard "jealous cause i aint never built shit like that" Rawlings...
This was hands-down the most entertaining episode of the year. I don’t know why JO doesn’t have him on a few times a year.
Joe "gone in 60 seconds" Rogan
Lmao
Have you ever heard of J.C. Whitney? Richard: no... I don’t think so..... LOL!
I still want one
Mustangs will never play out, you don't know that until you own one. I get compliments on my '87 Fox all the time and it's not even complete as far as the work I'm having done to it, my plan is to get a '69 if I get lucky.
That Mustang at 1:47 has the wrong rims and is way too boxy at the back.
Slamming cars low to the ground is no bueno around Chicago Illinois. Every other street has speed bumps to slow the cars down. I’m looking for a dependable company to raise my Crown Vic 3 inches...
Richard knocking magmotors for the ride height looking like a 4 wheeler, I’m sure he has actual off road mustangs
He really does, a green one with white strips
Just put smaller wheels on it. That's why it looks weird.
but he built his to be offroad looking.
To each his own....but the 67/68 Mustang fastback is loved and appreciated by 99% of all who look at it. Restomod or stock. I respect that “car guys” have opinions but because they say something doesn’t mean it’s what the car world thinks.
michigan roads would still bottom out that car.
My Challenger Hellcat found out dream cruise '18 😔
It's a gaudy restomod. I mean I was 15 once too, but quickly developed good taste.
Should have asked him when the last time he turned a wrench. Crickets.
I fuckin love Eleanor stangs. Waaaaay ahead of its time. Beautiful vehicle!
Elenore mustangs always looked overdone to me. Like someone looked into a catalog and said " just put everything on ! " 🤣 Too many scoops, body kits etc. A clean 66 beats it any day.
The guy who built the super swap is a really nice guy. I had the privilege of meeting him at a car show.
Don't know what these guys are talking about but that car on the thumbnail looks disgustingly awesome - Don't see many of them in the UK.
A C4th yea i’d imagine is hard to get an american classic over seas, they’re rare here as it is lol. But they aren’t played out at all, a lot of average peoples dream car.. maybe it’s played out to the rich
Just some good ole boys, never meanin no harm
I don’t like it when guests try to disagree with their hosts or act like they’ve never heard of a “company” before to try and act original, just tell us what you’ve done to innovate and stop it with the “Haterade”,What a lame guest.🤨
Agreed. But maybe he doesn't no shoit
Not driving into walls is played out..
Joe-I wonder how they’re going to put airbags in the car
Rick - it’s eeezzzzzzz
Joe-have you done it?
Rich-no
Who needs airbags? This ain't a Toyota Camry
Schawn Fleites They weren’t talking about that they were talking about doing the body swap
Because it doesn't make sense
Id rather have a cage and harness
Two world's have officially collided people!!. One is a physical fighter of all things kick ass and the other is a physical fighter of all things in the vehicular arts!. Both are awesome and I thank them both for all that I enjoy watching!. 😉😂😂😂🍻
Who's next? The old man from OCC. 😆
"It looks like you could go four wheeling in it" says the guy who has one lifted with all terrain tires on it.
Ford Maverick is all you need
YuriSinclair my first car. A ‘72, ran for like 6.5 million miles
Yep or comet.
That's my photo of the MAGStang! Awesome to see on JRE!
Richard Rawlings is played out!
Mustangs are played out
Bigger fan of Rawlings Thomas crown mustang . Or the ring bros variation
Kevin k I love the Thomas Crown Mustang! I prefer it to the overhyped Eleanor and I don’t really get why it isn’t more appreciated.
I am a Ford guy and I love the 1967 Mustang GT 500. However Eleanor isn't a 67 GT500 anyways... the true Eleanor is a 1973 Mustang Mach1
Dropped a K20 in my civic. 320 hp in a civic is a rocket. Lots of torque steer
How heavy is your clutch? I have a stock ls teggy that I want to do the swap but I injured my left leg and cant have a clutch thats too heavy
@@eriktruchinskas3747 Stage 2, it lasted 6 or 7 years before I had to replace it. Made the mistake of putting the stock clutch back for the time being, it blew out in a few weeks. Too much power for stock
@@Charmer4856 ive never driven anything beyond stock so I dont have a frame of reference
Respect for doing hondas right.
@@kasper5688 Man I dont know if I can ever give up my K. This is my 2nd one, first one blew out around 230 thousand miles
His green 68 they done in shop was so much cooler looking than the Eleanor stylized look of those mockup kit cars.
