Hospital Rooms is a London-based arts and mental health charity that radically transforms inpatient mental health settings with contemporary art.
While our usual work in mental health units is on hold, we have joined forces with internationally acclaimed artists to lead art workshops remotely from their studios and homes.
The artists leading these sessions have exhibited in many of the world's best galleries and have taught in some of the country's best art schools, including Royal Academy Schools, Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins. Over the coming weeks they will introduce you to their creative practice, help guide you to create your own artworks and answer questions along the way.
These workshops are for inpatient mental health units, as well as people accessing community mental health services and the wider public.
So grab a sketchbook, dust off your pencils, and get creative using #DigitalArtSchool. We would love to see your artworks, so please share them with us using the hashtag, or by tagging us on Instagram (@_hospitalrooms) and Twitter (@hospital_rooms)!
This project has been made possible thanks to the generous support of Arts Council England, Anthropologie, Seasalt Cornwall, Charities Aid Foundation, City Bridge Trust through the London Community Response Fund and Hospital Rooms Friends and Supporters.
