Love your shop clean, bright, lots of light, and the big glass doors that let in natural light. A lot big truck shops are dark and gloomy filthy and junk everywhere
It’s setup like they were the largest glider manufacturer in the country. They built all the space for production and had to lay-off a lot of people. Now they are left with a huge building for general repair etc. Sad but that’s our government….
OUTSTANDING!!! Hidden urea tank, dummy stacks, old school matching boxes ♥️. And yes: All leather is the ONLY way to do a Peterbilt interior. I’m doing mine in European brown, dash: (maybe 359 “corvette” dash), real burl wood, matching carpet, old school toggle switches with no extensions.
Hey guys you do OFF THE HOOK DRESS-UPS. On thing on the HIDDEN DEF TANK, I LOVE IT, please check into maybe something like door gasket foam around the back cutting of it. I think you are gonna collect a lot of unwanted water and road debris in there adding weight and a very abrasive material that may cause 100K unwanted damage. Please get back to me with a honest answer or remedy to this suggested comment. Please know I am not knocking you work it is great stuff you guys put out on the road and give others the greatest upgrade tips and new product knowledge never seen before. Thanks again, trucker 389 PEACE
That tank looks so clean but I don’t think I would be able to fill that tank all the way up and be comfortable with just two bolts holding up the one side.
I guess they ain't never seen a fuel tank fall off because the strap were aluminum and almost 25 years old and both straps cracked on the back side ,them 2 bolts don't give me any comfort
@@Jerseytrucker911 nice 👍.. hmm lol.. I am lady I am living at California.. my name is Karlee nice meeting you here.. I did love to get to know you more better if that’s okay with you!
Im confused? So when you fill the d.e.f tank the tank is only going to be supported by 1 strap on the end of the tank? If full that tank is probably 750-800 pounds in fuel?
Really wish your website had more parts, or at least links to alot of your aftermarket parts u put on trucks. It would be ideal if I could watcha a video of a truck that your showcasing. Say "man I want those such n such for my 389" and just find them on your website
I don't understand why you didn't just use the front part of the tank ffg or the def fluid Im sure there is a reason for that but i would like to know what it is
I remember when peterbilt Steve did this. Unfortunately you can’t do this anymore because of the new def tank they switched to for 2022. It’s mounted differently and it’s taller so it won’t fit in the inside of the tank.
Look up carb and emissions regulations. That will mostly explain what it is. But to us in the industry. It's the biggest pain in the ass to keep it working properly and not have down time
What I don't understand is why people put the DEF on the passenger side. I've seen on trucks that are for sale in the past. Alot of them DEF pumps are designed for the driver side semi's.
Only new motor to buy: high power X15 Cummins I like that engine. Dealing with the def crap sucks though. I’m all for CAT engines any older motor. Get a computer cat motor like a mid 2000s C15 it won’t smoke but it obviously a dirty regular Diesel engine. We got a 2006 T800 Kenworth 475HP Cat C15 acert that doesn’t smoke unless it cold. Blue smoke little. It’ll smoke every now and then but that truck really just goes. I put a GoPro on the boom and record it’s pipes I’ll see barely any smoke when driving. Caterpillars are good motors lot of torque and they make lot of power.
I'm a novice when it comes to big trucks, especially emissions trucks. Why not use the split tank side for DEF instead of cutting it up to hide the factory tank??
SMH, leave it to our government and some tree huggers to destroy the greatest industry we have with all their regulations and planet saving ideas. All of this does nothing except drive maintenance costs up, and makes it damn near impossible for all but the “mega” carriers. Thank y’all for what you do.
I just can't understand why have pipes like that and not hook them up and that big dust blower up under it!! What's the deal just can't hook them up?? Big rig without big rig sound.

new hat!!! finally. :-D :-D
When you say "Sleeper boot", is the sleeper separate from the cab, is it a factory sleeper?
Yes, the sleeper is separated from the cab. This is how all 389’s are setup.
What size def tank is it ? Would it be the new size or the old size ? Can you do that with only size? How much fuel does the tank hold
This is the old style DEF tank, 100gal driver side fuel and 150gal passenger side.
Old medium or large tank
Hello Greg how are you doing today
Im confused? So when you fill the d.e.f tank the tank is only going to be supported by 1 strap on the end of the tank? If full that tank is probably 750-800 pounds in fuel?
Yes, the inside of the tank on the onside e d if the strap is re-enforced and bolted in place.
Should do a red floor out of title or similar material

Im sure there is a reason for that but i would like to know what it is
DEF is highly corrosive to aluminum so it has to be in a plastic tank.
@@SEMICasualShow Ok thanks for the info i kinda figured that but wasn't sure its a shame that the new trucks have to have the def crap to begin with

Hey, we would love to do that for you. If you want give us a call (844) 569-7896 that the direct number to our shop.
how much longer before complete ???????????
Why you have the dash out why not put lights in the air vents and add some more class to the truck
How do you get the def fluid into the tank with the drop panels on ?
The DEF tank is lowered about an inch and then brought closer to the frame about 1/2in the DEF nozzle will fit in just fine this way.
Hello John how are you doing today
I remember when peterbilt Steve did this.
Unfortunately you can’t do this anymore because of the new def tank they switched to for 2022. It’s mounted differently and it’s taller so it won’t fit in the inside of the tank.
Get rid of those fake exhaust stacks. If anything lay them down like lake pipes.
Hello David how are you doing today
Level up💪💪👍👍
"Question " why not put a baffle in the tank and the pluming come out the tank ?
DEF fluid is highly corrosive to aluminum. It has to be in a plastic or stainless tank.
It would look old school with 1 stack
What’s the price and time frame on the hidden def tank ?
How much it cost to do something like this in the saddle brown color?
Give me real 150 duals, and put that Def in the back.
Hello Larry how are you doing today
@@franceliakarle_1 just wonderful
@@xrigtrk that’s great..hope all is well with you.. where are you from?
It kind of sucks that all new trucks have pipes just for illusion purposes not for actual exhaust since the actual exhaust dumps underneath the truck
You can do it both ways, it’s really personal preference.
a question? what is a DEF tank and what does it do?
Look up carb and emissions regulations. That will mostly explain what it is. But to us in the industry. It's the biggest pain in the ass to keep it working properly and not have down time
What I don't understand is why people put the DEF on the passenger side. I've seen on trucks that are for sale in the past. Alot of them DEF pumps are designed for the driver side semi's.

Nobody would ever catch the difference on the tanks.

Does Luke Rethwisch have his own office and phone extension
Seems like a a lot of weight to have one bolt holding up half the tank
Hello eddy how are you doing today
There are several bolts holding it in place and the tank is re-enforced to hold the weight.

Gonna suck when you have to replace the def quality sensor on top of the def tank
I'm a novice when it comes to big trucks, especially emissions trucks. Why not use the split tank side for DEF instead of cutting it up to hide the factory tank??
Due to the chemical reaction with aluminum
be nice to see a 567 oe 386 build
Can you not run real stacks on new trucks???
No, the DEF FLUID turns the exhaust yellow. And ruin's it.
You can, but it trashes them. I wish mine weren’t live cuz it looks terrible now.
