Last week my Father went to be with the Lord after battling an life threatening illness. We had an estranged relationship and didn't get on, just like the film. I put him through a lot and was rebellious. After I came back to the Lord and in his last years Jesus restored our relationship and I had the privilege of nursing him with my mother until his passing...he left a winner and received into the arms of the saviour. I praise God for giving me precious times and memories with my dad in reconciliation and I got to tell him how much I loved him and how sorry I was for all I put him through. Absent from the body present with the Lord and now he is beholding the face of Jesus Christ and hearing the sweet words " Welldone my good and faithful servant receive of your Master's joy."
Oh my goodness, we're so similar, my mother just passed 3 weeks ago from a rare lung disease, and I was rebellious too. In her last days, she praised God greatly, and my grandmother and I cared for her as she got sicker and sicker. Now she's gone but I know she's happy and finally free. God bless you.

Yes, he is with Jesus!! Knowing that our lived ones are with Him gives us peace. I lost my dad in1994 and he was 50. Four years later, I lost my mom and she was 54. 2016, I lost my sister who was 54. I know they are not suffering anymore and they are with our savior.

Tuched me to my core.... I was saved 3 days ago and transformed through our Lord Jesus Christ... Praise God... I was such a destitute person of lusting and drugs that my life was truly about to be over.... I hurt my whole family and the real friends I had at one time to the point that they all hated me. I have changed now so amazingly that it blows me away and I truly cry tears of joy all throughout my day, Everyday.... I thank God for bringing me through and delivering me safely to the other side.... With Him I can and will do ALL THINGS.... PRAISE GOD....
They chose the perfect actor to play Bart, he not only can act but he can sing too like an angel, when first watching this movie my Mom thought it was a voice over she was shocked that it was the actors real voice. Beautiful movie, 10/10 😃

i find this movie so personal, i cried big time when his father asked for a second chance. i hope my dad get to know and receive Jesus someday. though, i find it nearly impossible for him to become the father i always wanted him to be. who knows, Jesus changed me and continues doing so. I am in no way a religious person but I unfortunately had a childhood full of abuse and neglect. Then one day my God father came and got me and my siblings out of that situation. I was finely free of the pain. A little less then 5 years ago the man that saved us passed away from a heart attack. I want to dedicate this song to his memory and the strength he gave me. I'm just saying, you dont know what is after death, because you are not there yet for a very very long time I hope. So I think it's better to believe in God and living a calm and planed life with Him and listening to the Bible's words and living the way it teaches, than not living like this, and finding out when we die that there is heaven and hell, when we can't change our way anymore. I dont believe that God is real, I KNOW. But if He doesn't (which I cannot imagine), and I lived my whole life as the bible said, even then I didn't lost anything. One of the best movies of the year and I cried through half of it.. Have to chase away the tears even listening to this. I could relate to a lot of the movie. My dad died in front of me in April 2013. Christian or not, is a must see movie!

I went through a very similar situation with my parents. Only in the last 11 years of his life,my dad and I became close. So don't give up hope on that. When it came time for mom to go be with Jesus,we siblings were prepared. We miss her alot,but we can only imagine what it's going to be like in Heaven.

This hit home for me so much.. as a kid my dad would abuse my younger sister and me along with my mom until my mom left my dad and when we went to visit my dad all he would do is get drunk and leave us all alone to fend for ourselves ... and on 2012 he got deported back to his home country and since then I had to be the man of the house .. all I had was my mom and younger siblings when I look back on all of this. It caused me so much pain .. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve cried over the fact I was never able to have a dad like everyone else .. it broke me .. even to this day I still have pain from it.. it’s so he’s because no one ever taught me how to he a man .. I’m almost at the age of 19 and I still feel unprepared for this world and when I saw this movie is broke me down.. and when I found Jesus he became my dad .. I’ve been through so much pain all because of one person and I’ve tried forgiving him so many times .. and I forgive him but how do you cope with 8 years of pain ??? All the times I wish I could have had a real father to be there on my birthdays.. football games ... giving me advice on life .. teaching me how to drive how to fish all these things I never got to do with him and now he’s on the verge of death in another country it just seems so unfair of these cards I’ve been dealt in life and I just don’t know how to deal with all this emotional pain .. I can only imagine gives me so much hope to one day know all of my pain will be forgotten when I stand face to face with my father god ...
My mother used to be physically beaten by my grandpa in the past because she wasn't of "his blood." When my mother gave birth to me and my sister, my grandpa pulled a complete 180, brought my mom flowers after the birth and everything. She eventually even grew to trust him to watch me and my sister whenever my parents were at work. And he loved us so much. God is REAL and he DOES perform miracles but you have to be open to them.

I thought about my life.. My mom was likely Bart's father. Only I could feel love when I saw her eyes. Her eyes said she loves me. After being a mom myself, I knew my son has ADHD. Actually I realized I was ADHD(It was unknown what ADHD was in Korea at that time) I am quite assure my mom has it too. Now I know why my life was that tough. And I was getting to understand my mom. Now I am saved by Jesus. I hope my mom would be saved too.

well I am a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and heaven and I can honestly say that I seen that bright light shining from the roof from my hospital bed and it was the brightest light that I have ever seen and Jesus was at the heavens Gates and I thought that was it for me but when I opened my eyes my whole family was all around my hospital bed and I told them I seen the light and they were all shocked but I'm telling you all the truth I was truly at peace with the Lord Jesus Christ!!! I'm still alive today to tell my story and there is still something I haven't done yet but the Lord Jesus Christ knows what I have to do but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do but the Lord Jesus Christ will show me when the time is right!!!

I was finely free of the pain. A little less then 5 years ago the man that saved us passed away from a heart attack. I want to dedicate this song to his memory and the strength he gave me. I went through a very similar situation with my parents. Only in the last 11 years of his life,my dad and I became close. So don't give up hope on that. When it came time for mom to go be with Jesus,we siblings were prepared. We miss her alot,but we can only imagine what it's going to be like in Heaven.

This hit home for me so much.. as a kid my dad would abuse my younger sister and me along with my mom until my mom left my dad and when we went to visit my dad all he would do is get drunk and leave us all alone to fend for ourselves ... and on 2012 he got deported back to his home country and since then I had to be the man of the house .. all I had was my mom and younger siblings when I look back on all of this. It caused me so much pain .. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve cried over the fact I was never able to have a dad like everyone else .. it broke me .. even to this day I still have pain from it.. it’s so he’s because no one ever taught me how to he a man .. I’m almost at the age of 19 and I still feel unprepared for this world and when I saw this movie is broke me down.. and when I found Jesus he became my dad .. I’ve been through so much pain all because of one person and I’ve tried forgiving him so many times .. and I forgive him but how do you cope with 8 years of pain ??? All the times I wish I could have had a real father to be there on my birthdays.. football games ... giving me advice on life .. teaching me how to drive how to fish all these things I never got to do with him and now he’s on the verge of death in another country it just seems so unfair of these cards I’ve been dealt in life and I just don’t know how to deal with all this emotional pain .. I can only imagine gives me so much hope to one day know all of my pain will be forgotten when I stand face to face with my father god ...

My mother used to be physically beaten by my grandpa in the past because she wasn't of "his blood." When my mother gave birth to me and my sister, my grandpa pulled a complete 180, brought my mom flowers after the birth and everything. She eventually even grew to trust him to watch me and my sister whenever my parents were at work. And he loved us so much. God is REAL and he DOES perform miracles but you have to be open to them.

I first heard this song on KLOVE after it came out. They talked about a listener who was going to sing this song at a friend's funeral who had been called home to Jesus after battling cancer for several years. I'm still alive today to tell my story and there is still something I haven't done yet but the Lord Jesus Christ knows what I have to do but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do but the Lord Jesus Christ will show me when the time is right!!!
