Really cute way to show an unboxing and setup. I liked the fact that you didn't follow the step-by-step instructions like most of us...he he. I purchased one of these for my wife's office, was the cheapest way I found to get her on a smart trainer
Thank you for sharing the installation video for the Zwift Ride with the Kickr Core. It was the best guide I've come across, as all the details were clearly explained. I found it particularly helpful in understanding the thru-axle installation and identifying the correct parts to use. I truly appreciate the clarity and thoroughness of the video-it made the setup process much easier for me.
Just bought this and was having a nightmare with the thru axle and not tightening and then saw your video and now all is good 😊 Zwift really need to up their game for potential problems with this as its the most important part of assembly. Thank you so much for this..happy riding 😊
Hello Louise, thank you very much for your video. I wouldn't have been able to assemble the Zwift bike without it. It is unbelievable that there is nothing in the instructions for the Thread cutter. I was almost delusional... I had to repeat the process several times until I got the bike tight. It always wobbled. But I could also see in your video that it didn't wobble after you gave it a quick shake. And thanks again for the video and best wishes from Berlin!
You literally save zwift from me returning my bike that got delivered today , the directions are HORRIBLE! Appreciate this video Sooooo much , I’m up and running
Thanks for sharing your great video! I’m literally waiting as I’m typing this on my Zwift Ride for delivery! Very exciting, and you guys did a great job! Cheers!
Thank you sososo much. I do agree with others who lebt a comment! It saved me from returning the Zwift Ride. Especially, the tip using the little screws for attaching the thru axle. You should be paid by zwift for your support😅
I hope Zwift will offer just the bike as I already have a Kickr Core. I hear there's a front adapter so one can use a Kickr Climb. Looks great...one drawback is that it's pretty much stationary. I have to set up my pain cave each time I Zwift. Looks like removing Thanks as always for the excellent content. Great teamwork. 👍
Worked for us and we wouldn’t have been able to complete the build without using them to complete the thread. Thankfully it seems it was only an issue with the early versions of the Zwift Ride, I suspect paint was in the thread but seems to be way less of an issue with people now.
At 11:00-12:00 that is not a thread cutter/chaser, it is a replacement grub screw for the grub screws used when adjusting the saddle and/or handlebar height (that's why there are two of them in the bag). It has a different thread pitch to the thru axle (put them side to side and compare). Using it to try to cut the thread could cause cross-threading, ruin the Ride frame and invalidate any warranty. In your case, you were lucky you didn't damage the thread but others may not be so lucky.
@@MyLouTube there are several accounts of this issue online, not just in the few comments below, but this represents a minute percentage of all sales so it's hardly an epidemic. Regardless, suggesting this fix could lead to people ending up with a very expensive paperweight.
Hahahaha I hardly suggested an epidemic. Nor do I see an issue in sharing what helped me be able to actually use my bike. Without this fix they already have a very expensive paperweight. You don’t seem to be understanding that the bike is completely unusable without that part being “fixed” in the small amount of cases that has this issue.
@@MyLouTube there's already one person who has posted on Facebook a thru axle with a completely stripped thread because of this technique. If the same has happened to the thread on his Ride frame he now has a permanent paper weight. Of course I understand that the frame is unusable until the problem is solved - but that's a temporary situation. With your bodge solution, there's a danger it becomes a permanent situation, but with the added problem that you have invalidated the warranty.
Thanks for the vid but my OCD was maxing out watching you take all of the cardboard dividers and such and throwing it all over the floor. LOL I just ordered a Zwift ride as well and your video taught me that when it comes, I'll just turn the top of the box upside down and all the mess will go right in there.
Hahaha, sorry! Yeah I was just throwing it all out of the way so it wasn't in shot. There was so much cardboard it blocked the door though so when I'd finished filming I threw it all inside the big box and took it up to the recycling place so I could move around again!!!! ENJOY and maybe catch you on Zwift some time! xx
Absolutely. Will do an update once I’m home and have ridden it more. We used one at the Zwift hub in Rotterdam and it was great, looking forward to more riding on it!
Did you manage to get this sorted? I wonder if it’s the chain mover gadget thing that’s not locked into the right position. Does back pedalling slightly free it up to then put it in the correct position?
Really useful. I wish Zwift provided something like this. One question, do the handlebars have to be permanently plugged in? The box didn't appear to contain a plug.
No, you charge up the Zwift Play handlebars and they don't need to stay plugged in for it all to work. Just recharge them as and when you need to. Ride on!
No time at all, just use the Zwift tool to move the saddle up or down and handlebars further or closer. Things will take little longer if you need to switch pedals as well though!
When you rotate the cranks, does it take a lot of strength? Cause with mine, it did. I thought I missed something, but it seems you need to add some power as well. With the kickr core there came a spacer, but I don't think I need it, right? I bought the zwift bike + kickr core together.
It took me a while to work out which spacer / attachments I needed to use but I got there in the end. It doesn't take too much strength to turn the cranks, but they don't spin freely with no effort no. If you've managed to put it all together it must be right, it wouldn't go together with the wrong spacer / attachment. Good luck and happy Zwifting!
Aerobars aren’t possible at the moment I don’t believe. Wonder if there will be more handlebar options as time goes on. I think I’d prefer narrower bars if I could choose.
Hi Louise unboxed mine last night steering and breaks worked but the gears didn't? Do the handlebars need to be charged I had them directly plugged into an extension lead there is no info on where the USB is supposed top be plugged in and I dont see how the gears change as there is no power connection to the hub from the handlebars, just the dial setting from 1-7 any help greatly appreciated regards Julian
@@MyLouTube Hi Louise sorry to bother you again but I'm still not quite sure how the gears work and the dial thats on the hub with settings 1-7 how does that operate as there are no further instructions and are you supposed to set it to a desired number or does that magically move itself? thanks Julian

I’m going to put it on the wall. It’s seen better days being almost 10 years old, ridden the full route of the Tour de France 5 years ago and multiple rounds in the ring with TSA over the years 🤣🤣🤣
