Watching this highlight film of Gilbert makes me feel very old. I remember playing against this dude back in high school while still living in glendale. He was over at grant. Man he lit us up real bad. To this day, i never really understood how he fell in the 2nd round. He balls really well. Respect G. coming from the valley

that was a good wizards team in 06-07 if healthy which by the playoffs they weren't sadly they may have made the finals....gilbert caron jamison haywood stevenson all starting in their primes in 07 with jarvis etan daniels songaila when healthy off the bench and a young blatche..they were 2 deep and had legit firepower starting...gilbert getting hurt before the playoffs really sucked that year ..smdh..we never got to see them with their best player during his peak

People underestimate how big Gilbert was for his position. He was a true combo guard - massive for a point and wide for a two - he could power a lot of big guards like Kidd and Payton out of his way . And the taller ones like Kobe , Vince - he d use his mass and width to bump em off the block and crest seperation despite not being long or having hops
