I-10 in San Antonio is always an interesting double decker freeway. This particular Texas design is almost perfect designs for some areas for San Francisco, unless the citizens decide to oppose it first.
Sadly, I don’t think San Francisco is building any more double deck freeways due to the growing danger of earthquakes. At least in Texas they don’t have high earthquake danger hence why they can build a lot of these here and those massive stack interchanges.
Lived in SA my whole life and i can say that the city has a very interesting highway system that i haven't seen much of anywhere else. At 3:20 , however, the split from I-35 back to I-10 (locally known as the Finesilver curve) is infamous for large trucks taking the turn too fast and flipping over. One time, that whole exit was shut down twice within a month cause truckers not familiar with the curve took it too fast despite a giant yellow sign warning vehicles with a high center of gravity of the roll over risk
Lol, what day was this because for 5 years in the oil field i drove that nightmare from Gonzales TX to 1604W 5 to 6 times a week 2 times a day. Yeah, city proper is 7th largest in the US. The Greater San Antonio metro area is 24th largest as of 2021. Cities and their corresponding metro areas don’t always equal the same.
