This film should’ve gotten Oscar nominated for best animated feature film! Anyone else here agree with me?

I've just watched Ethel and Earnest and loved it. I must have gone through every known emotion as I followed their lives, ending in grief and tears. Brilliant film and I shall be recommending it to my friends.

I must have watched it 5 times in a week last Christmas... It too made this big man cry like a baby and i'm not ashamed to admit it. I will be watching again soon.

I watched this movie about two weeks ago on HBO Family, and I fell in love with the story. It really touched me. It showed the love between Ethel and Ernest in a time in history. It's a classic in my opinion, I loved the colors and animations. I brought the movie to watch to my hearts content. Brilliant work, thanks for sharing the story of your parents Mr. Raymond it was moving.

The simple pleasures in life are so well depicted here.
I cry when their lives end as we can all see something we can identify
    With in our own lives.
Thank you so much for this gem of a film.

Myself and my husband watched this last night and we were both in tears at how beautiful it was. The lasting love through all those pivotal changes they lived through, war, the arrival of the telephone, television, cars and yet the love remained unchanged ❤

I'm so sad to hear that only recently #rogermainwood has since passed away, but what a legacy he has left for his family.

I L❤️VE Ethel and Ernest. Recently bought it from the BBC store and have watched it many times. Such a beautiful portrayal of love and life. I too almost blubb at the end Raymond. This film really touches my heart. I wish I could do an animation for my mum & dad. THANK YOU Raymond and to all of you wonderful animators. Fabulous 🌹

I found it rather depressing at the end and embarrassing that he made a movie depicting what a shit son he was.
