You've been doing great :D I also am exactly the same way I hate not knowing the names of members when I see them on screen in an MV, I want to know WHO it is I'm appreciating. Like who is this amazing dancer, whose vocals do I like the most, etc. I don't want them to just be whatever member of this group. haha So I totally get that. I definitely think continuing through the super long guide is a great way to go, you can see that there are juts so many members, shorter guides can only take you so far. I also think going through and watching the MV's they have will be super great, at least the ones you haven't seen - and for all of them the dance practices are a must. The way you've been listening to their music and haven't seen the choreo yet is kind of amazing actually because their performances are so incredible. For some groups I feel like it's not necessarily critical to watch a dance practice every time, but I always recommend that people do watch every choreo they can for Seventeen because they are so impressive and satisfying - just so enjoyable to watch!

The song Shining Diamond is from predebut, and there's a line that says (talking about themselves) "oh yes I'm the diamond, can't be imitated, 17 carat". So when they gave the fandom the name Carats, it's like Seventeen plus Carats together make the diamond. So anyways, that's where the name and all the diamond imagery comes from.
