I think there's more of Danny Reagan in Donnie than he realizes, but more in the reasons WHY our beloved detective behaves the way he does. He's actually a very sensitive guy, with a true heart of gold. That same heart is what I see in Donnie, in every interview he gives.
I saw movies with Donnie Walhberg in it and I actually think he is a very good actor. I remember only recognizing him after 30 minutes of viewing one of the sequence of the movie SAW in which in played a cop. Well at that time I did not see him for a while before as well so... And that part in Sixth Sense where he played the crazy man in the beggining who shot Bruce Willis, I only knew it was him when someone pointed out to me.
