Is there a corrona closure in South Africa ?
This place is safe enough I believe, so why are people not coming out?

Hey, so there is definitely no Covid closure in SA and the place is safe for sure. Not sure why there weren't so many people out and about that day. Though there were lots of people at the club house area and lagoon, I just didn't record there.

You won't see a lot of people walking around in these estates. That's just how estate life is in SA.

But isn't it a dull life? I mean, no joggings on the streets? No people who take a walk with the dog? In europe it's very common to take , just take a walk on the street .

It was a Sunday so I think people were in church or having meals with families as the title states that this was in the afternoon.

I've watched quite a few of these drive through estate videos and noticed the same thing, the absence of a broader sense of community. However, if that is the exchange for security, cleanliness and order, it's a fair trade off. Having lived in South Africa and Lesotho for a while, these kind of estates are really needed. That isn't quite the case in safer more orderly countries I have lived in like Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe where such estate seem to be more about copying trends and ways for property investors squeeze more properties into smaller spaces and charge inflated property prices for them.

Hey 😊, I've never been there at night but I think in such a high security estate you wouldn't have anything to fear even at night.

I still think there's way too many trees, they are blocking the views. Still a beautiful estate nonetheless.

The trees are there for privacy among neighbors . I think they're there for a good reason.
