I don't think Saitama was forced to use a Serious Punch from what I remember. He still does call Boros "almost a fight" though.

Even if not "forced" forced, Ithink it was "called for" in the sense that a normal punch wouldn't necessarily have ended Boros.
Serious was unnecessary, so not forced but also not less than 1% or something.
What we can be sure about is that it was nothing compared to the Serious Punch(^2 literally or x2 not sure) against Garou. Because if it was the "same" serious punch, it would extend far beyond compared to just the atmosphere. Serious punch^2 might have reached thousands of stars.

Saitama has a move where he goes back in time and hits his opponents past self and it is undodgeable that's an instant win for Saitama as he can just go back to when goku was a baby and beat the ever living crap out of him.

Basically, people tend to lowball Goku because most of his feats are visually unimpressive. His absurd power mostly has to be established through statements and scaling.
Meanwhile Saitama feels more powerful than Goku to the average anime fan because his franchise generally has way better art quality and fight choreography.

Thinking about it. Goku obliterates saitama. Goku can destroy entire galaxies with ease. Saitama to his credit, saitama can rise to unlimited levels. But so can goku.

No one in Saitama is at Goku's level. People used to say ssj3 Goku caps at star level and Saitama is equal to him........... People are crazy. Goku's energy while powering up to ssj3 reached and shocked Gohan, Shin and Kibito. They were shocked to see his power can reach there. The otherworld is transcendental to the living world which contains dimensions that cannot be perceived by the human beings. And is completely separate space-time. The kaioshin realm which revolves around the universe 7 as a moon considers living World as a lower realm. And ssj3 power reached the kaioshin realm is crazy. This is Z. I don't get why Goku vs Saitama is a thing at all. The power or AP difference is huge like not even funny. In db verse raw power negates durability and haxes.

To be fair the at the rate we have seen OP start to scale is substantially faster than DB as a whole. We just have to wait and see how far they take OP. As of now DB feats are far more and larger. I've got faith tho we'll see.

Well technically he didn't react to it and he only reacted to the time eater's physical form, not his ability to travel and destroy timelines. But if you're talking about 06, Shadow and Silver used the chaos emerald to create a portal to travel to the points in time, which gave them the ablity to destroy Solaris' physical form binding him to the 3rd dimension plane, meaning Sonic and Co wouldn't scale to the time hax, because they didn't run through time and space, but rather travelled with a portal. Although, even if he did, Goku does have scaling to moving faster than time, Goku black's attacks were shown to damage trunk's time machine (who travel multiverses, not universes like Solaris) in the middle of travel and not just the startup time. Furthermore it's stated that Goku surpassed Hit's timeskip which skips time by freezing a tenth of a second, then hit performs an action causing him to skip ahead to when that action occurs, so Goku would also have immeasurable speed anyway.

Multi-galaxy level would put him above anyting before SSG Gokū. But NOTHING he does could compare to the absolute insanity that is ALMOST DESTROYING THE ENTIRE MACROCOSM. A MASSIVELY high balled Boo arc Gokū would be equal to this high-balled Saitama, but only if we use the absolute dogshit that is the Boo arc anime power scaling. If we use a conservative scaling for Gokū and we high-ball Saitama, we would get Saitama beating the absolute piss out of everyone in the original Dragon Ball manga, but he loses instantly to SSG Gokū from Battle of Gods.
Opm fans don't realize Goku has became an eteriel. In the end Goku's story will continue even after Saitama is done. I don't see him winning against Goku unless the creator makes him infinite at the end if his story. But we all know he losses all his powers at the end according to Morada

Just one mistake... You said Saitama will never have Martial arts... That's a little wrong... Yes, he won't train to have one that he'll then stick to in fights... But from his Garou fight, we are clearly shown that he can deal with characters who possess the best martial arts in the universe created by fusing all martial arts... then later on on i.o the moon of Jupiter... Garou explicitly stated that Saitama had started using his own perfected martial arts against him, as if he were mocking Martial Arts... Which is crazy...
So yes, Goku has better abilities and all and could win in an equal stats... but the Martial arts part is not so strong, since Saitama has actual feats and statements of being able to just up and replicate a martial arts created from fusing all over 100 martial arts in OPM plus one with the understanding of all energies in the universe... And he just copied it like it was nothing and started using it to beat the creator.

Yeah but to be fair Saitama during his final fight with Garou definitely outstripped the speeds we've seen Dragonball characters grow at. They break their limits and get stronger sure but Saitama was not only getting stronger but accelerating with how much faster he was getting stronger every second. Which to me indicates his ability to grow was just getting warmed up. I think they'd just end up outmatching each other forever. Its way more fun that way anyways

I think the most important thing that you don't take into account with this video is just the general nature of Saitama's abilities. He seems to have the ultimate form of "breaking limits" that saiyans have. We've seen saiyans get a good amount stronger in a short time (over hours and even minutes) but when Saitama starts to get stronger its exponentially faster than anything we've seen the saiyan's achieve at any point.
The source of his ability seems to be the god of creation and existence itself giving him however much power he needs to win and sometimes way WAY more than he needs which is always hilarious. The more Garou grew during their fight the FASTER Saitama grew and the harder he outclassed him. So really the question is how strong is the god of everything in the OPM universe. We've seen Goku max out but we've never seen Saitama/his god patron max out so who knows.
I personally lean towards Saitama being the winner with Goku coming back to challenge him again and again mostly because that would be the ultimate happy ending for them both in a way. Goku has the kind of growth that could give Saitama hope for a good fight and maybe pull him out of his depression and Goku would be hype for having an eternally stronger guy to fight. The perfect rivals

At the current power level we have seen Saitama, his absolute highball scales above the entire Buu Saga minus Buuhan beinf able to collapse the universe, so everyone beloe Super Vegito and enraged Buuhan would be beloe Saitama, and given his growth he should be able to clear the Buu Saga. I havent given much thought about this, and my take could be a little biased since I have never watched dragon ball but I have done a little bit of research into it.
Heres my take, neither would win. let me start by talking about what Saitama can do since I am more familiar with his feats. I say this because despite what people may say about saitama he is at the end of the day a gag character and his gimmick is that he can defeat any enemy in one punch (this has been confirmed by both authors!! therefore it is not a valid argument to say that he is not a gag character). Now for fights like boros we see that it takes multiple punches in order to defeat him, here is where my own theory takes place on the matter: Saitama controls his strength. We saw in season one and in the manga that saitama was not adapting to boros like he did with cosmic fear garou and he was not in any way shape or form trying, so why would he not try against boros I mean he threatened to destroy the earth well what I think is that saitama was gauging his strength as saitama never really fought back and only threw the occasional punch while dodging blocking and weaving through boros' attacks which is not something he did with Garou as he was very offensive during that fight, now yes boros is significantly weaker than dragon ball opponents however, we also see in season one that Saitama can one punch snek (the A-class hero who has wall level feats) and snek survives. considering that lowballing it boros is 1000x stronger than snek, saitama would have to heavily restrain himself in order not to kill snek. So what do I think what happened in the garou fight? well as we know Saitama is the only thing in the one punch man universe that has broken the limiter placed on him by god (who is believed to be the main antagonist of the one punch man series), however if you take this at face value then saitama is always growing, however this appears to not be the case as he never adapts to his opponent. What I believe is saitamas strength plateaus at an unbelievably high point and only when facing god level threats (I.e. monsters that threat the extinction of the human race) his base offensive capabilities become outclassed and he must grow in order to defeat his opponent. Garou is known in the series as being able to adapt to anything and in his new god form adapts to saitama in hopes of creating a fair fight however saitama surpasses Garous adaptability despite not knowing anything about martial arts (Garou is a martial arts prodigy) and exponentially grows.
Okay I talked about saitamas true strength (IN MY OPINION) enough now here is my take on why neither would win and it comes back to saitama being a gag character in a way. Saitama has never taken damage. Say what you will about goku but his series has ended and he doesn't always win like Saitam, and one punch man is still continuing but as it stands Saitama has never taken damage (actually there is one instance where a cat scratches saitama and you could argue he drew blood but it striked me as a not serious moment so yeah) anyways I believe that goku would probably be able to attack saitama for, well, forever basically. And this is giving both characters the benefit of the doubt like with saitama basically being immortal and goku not being able to kill a gag character which I have heard he has done before. Another thing is, Saitama just has more niche powers up his sleeve that goku doesn't have like being able to breathe in space or being able to fight against fourth dimensional beings, not like that last one would particularly help saitama in a 1v1 but...
At the end of the day this debate will never have a clear answer because it is almost entirely up to speculation. does gokus brute force win? Or maybe saitams exponential capabilities will give him the win. but yeah, this is all my opinion so feel free to debunk this but if you want to debunk this then please use real argument instead of "goku beats saitama" or "saitama beats goku" it's kinda immature and not what I was going for.

you cant compare them because saitama is on the black list. he hasnt shown a limit, but that doesnt mean he hasnt got one. till now we know his power continues to grow, but we dont know if its infinite or if it has a limit. That is why there cant be a winner by power, although there can be a winner in feats (goku). Theoretically saitama could become 10x stronger than goku, but by current known feats goku wins.
