Greetings from NZ too 😊 how are you liking this engine ? Where did you source the muffler from ? Sounds great

Greetings I find this engine quite good the only downside is I can't seem to get full revs proberly needs a bit of adjustment on the carb which I haven't done yet as I'm still breaking it in with the recommended 0w 30 oil it does smoke a bit but the oil is too thin and it passes thro the rings and burns in the cylinder but I will change oil to a heavy type and prohaps put less oil in than what the manufacturer recommended on the instruction sheet they recommend 80mls but you only need about 40 mls half what they stated I have burnt out the hall sensor once but that was when the cdi was connected to 3 cells so I put a ubec that drop the voltage down to 6v and havent had a problem since , the muffler came from stiringkit.com as well as the oil filter I did try to buy a starter kit to complete the engine but couldn't get one as none was available so I made my own with a one-way bearing and a plantery geared motor even thro it looks a bit out of place a bit it starts the engine and I'm just going to keep it as a display engine , I like the exhaust note that comes out of the muffler it just sounds right

@lesontwowheels1905 I think 0 weight oil is way too thin even for precisely made engines yet alone these ones
I use 5w30 or straight 20sae in my ones and sometimes add a small amount of Lucas Oil upper cylinder lubricant with the fuel( 1:70 ratio) the engine sounds great. I think it's one that didn't get much attention as Cison launched their L4 engines . Running it stationary is cool as I do all of mine. And no plans to "use" them. They get plenty of stationary run and great on the shelf to look at 😁

They certainly make great display engines a pure masterpiece in engeering these engines are better on display than to hide them in a rc model and gives you the apreation how much machining is involved making them I've got a toyan v8 with a supercharger kit I've haven't run the engine yet I was thinking about putting it in a jetboat but it would look better as a display model there's a few engines I want to get as display models but in time I will bulit up a collection how many you got in your collection

@lesontwowheels1905 yeah I agree with you, it's great to see them and get them to run for a short time to admire . The Toyan v8 with supercharger is a cool engine and certainly very beautiful. I have few engines, I posted shorts about them on my channel 👍

The oil that was specified from the manufacturer was 80mLs of 0w 35 oil when I ran this engine the oil I uses was what they specified the oil should of been 10w or 20w and about 30 - 40 mls in the engine I didn't know this at the time of running the engine in all the oil that I used was way too thin and too much in the engine this allowed the thin oil to pass thro the piston rings and burn in the chamber in this case the manufacturer speciation is wrong oldly enough it did say if there's a lot of smoke or oil coming out of the exhaust then lower the oil content project farm had a video of what happens to a engine when you put a thinner type oil in
