Let's summarize. For this rug I used: 4 knitted jumpers, 3 t-shirts, 2 sport pants, viscose shirt and slip dress, off-shoulder cotton top, tights, cotton skirt, wool skirt, quilted scarf. Let's save our planet together. 🌍
Ý tưởng mình nghĩ từ lâu, tiếc không có máy.. chị kiên trì giỏi lắm ❤
We have too many things that can be recycled filling up our landfills.
@@SaraH-zt1ek absofreakinglutely we do! I'm collecting things right now for a) t-shirt yarn, and b) plastic recycling (like Brothers Make on here are doing), and as I always do, watching for yarn to repurpose for my crocheting. Plus, I'm finally learning to sew, after decades, and using the thrift store near the doctor's office I go to every month for cheap materials! Keeps lots out of the landfill that way!
Wooow fantastic
Beautiful! Its time consuming task though!
I think, we need to give such not in use clothes to some unemployed people so that they can follow the process and make something for their living by selling the same.
These rugs can be a wonderful memorial for someone too. My great great grandma made 2 area rugs out of her husband’s clothes after he passed. She had two children so each got one. They’ve been passed down and fast forward to today, I have a beautiful rug that reminds me of a long gone loved one. It is my favorite possession.
That’s a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing that.
Such beautiful work. The colour combination is exquisite. I think the rug belongs on the wall, as a piece of art. Much love from Ireland..
Thanks you for ENG version. I've watched original videos but having your audio explanation does help. And I have lots of clothes that aren't able to donate that I want to recycle.
I’m very appreciative of the time and effort that you took to show us how you make this beautiful work of art. Thank you ever so much!! ❤
Incredible. Your skill and method creates a beautiful rug. You put much time and effort into your work. Thank you for demonstrating the exact steps to fold old fabrics and clothes into strips for neat weaving.
That is the most beautiful rug I have ever seen made from recycled clothing! I've always thought I'd have to go out to buy more thrift store tshirts to complete such a rug because I didn't know you could use different fabrics. Glad you made this video to show it's possible to use various fabrics. I'm impressed you even incorporated a knitted sweater and a quilted fabric in the rug.
My first reaction when seeing the rug: I WANNA DO THAT!! After watching the video: that's a lot of work, not so sure about that now!
It's beautiful though and all that extra work really paid off. It looks very neat, not to mention beautiful!
Your rug is absolutely lovely! Thank you for the clear instructions too.
Thank you so much for sharing this, it is gorgeous. I can see that extra step of ironing and sewing the strips makes this recycled rug look so pretty. I have wanted to try this recycle project but your process has really helped me to see the steps. Thank you
You did an amazing job, both in colour choices and quality of work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I absolutely love that binding!! I have made many "rag rugs" but I am never happy with the finished design. I love this.
Love that rug !! Great video !! I mostly make mine out of fabric strips that are leftover from quilting, old bedsheets, tablecloth and things like that. Your method is really new to me. I'm going to give it a try this winter.
So beautiful! It is always satisfying to complete a project made by hand, and enjoy using it! You did a great job!
Best rug tutorial ever! Both understendable and calming. An the rug is a real art for everyday. Thank You for creating and sharing❤
So much simpler than I was expecting. Very clever
So beautiful and such neat and tidy work! Perfect!!
I just watched your making of rag rug.. Green is my fav color! I’m impressed with your craft woman ship in planning & construction. And I love your neat & tight hand sticking- just beautiful
I've been watching upcycling videos today and your rug has to be the prettiest I've seen using old clothing strips. I haven't watched the video yet, but will tomorrow AM. The colors and professionally done finish caught my eye right before shutting down for the night. I'd given up the idea of using my old clothes fabrics for such a project until I saw your beautiful green rug. Now I want to know how to do it in such a beautiful way. Thanks for sharing!
I’m all about giving old things new life. Recycling is the best. You are so talented. This is amazing. I just love it! Great job. So beautiful.❤😊
The quality of patience you have to create such creations is amazing
Love how beautiful this turns out!!!
Beautiful workmanship! I'm so impressed with the beauty of your rugs. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. Your attention to detail is incredible!! Beautiful!
You are an inspiration.
So much dedication goes into the detail.
Thanks for sharing.
That turned out beautiful…love the colors
WOW !!! ITS absolutely BEAUTIFUL !!!
Thank you for this , it’s an amazing use of old clothing and brilliant idea to use handing rail as a loom, genius. ❤ I would use pipe cleaners to thread the ends through the rug, and use slip knot to tie the foundation strings so it’s easier to untie them. My late grandma used to make these and she used any type of fabric to make rugs and throws.
I love the fact that you made your own loom.
Это вешалка для одежды
Same! I paused and zoomed in because I was so impressed. A great idea!
I'm so glad I found your channel, this is inspiring and just so cool and beautiful. You're so skilled and the attention to detail is wonderful 😊
The rug is so beautiful! Masterful work.
Fabulous 😍🤩 in our family tradition, we would make rugs and blankets the same way but using yarn and stretching t-shirt fabric of different colours. We don't make bias ribbons, we just cut the strips, stretch them to make them rounded and then use them directly to weave the item ...thank you so much for sharing ❤
Very nice. I can't wait to try this. We are currently doing a deep clean of the closets so there will be lots of fabric options.😁
OMG The method is genius!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I LOVE IT!! Will definitely try this one day soon. Thank you for the video 🤗
Lovey rug Lena! And what a lovely way to recycle your old clothes😊 Thank you!
Thank you! 😊
This is FABULOUS, best one I have ever seen…I’m going to attempt this some day soon!!! Thank you
Absolutely beautiful workmanship and end result.
Beautiful, I made one in blues, but forgot to sew the edges. I love this process. Blessings 🙏
I Love it! The pretty colours and your mothers nitting. ❤

VERY nicely done.. your little details make it look just right.
It’s just amazing and Really admire your Craft . So much patience and and the work is just perfect and A great inspiration . Your English Commentary was an added bonus.
Thank you so much 😀
Beautiful!! I usually make mine out of hemp sacks and wool. Like a tapestry. I must try this as well. 🥰
It looks amazing.
A great recycle project. 🖤
These are some of the videos which makes me feel "I can never to do so atleast I will watch it"
By the way great work😍
Stunningly beautiful rug. Great work.
Very beautiful rug absolutely stunning and the work you put in as well worth it thank you
Beautiful end result, if you have a bunch of clothes to repurpose. I recently made a rug for the floor in front of the toilet, using one pair of my husband’s worn out work jeans. I cut the pant legs into strips about 4 cm wide, sewed them together lengthwise. Hemmed all the edges and then put it through the wash a couple times. The rough edges with the fray exposed face up to catch the dirt and cushion your feet and when it gets dirty you just toss in the wash. It was a quick, one afternoon project and kept that material out of the landfill! Very easy & satisfying.
Very cool idea!
Great job! Much as I don’t really like green all that much, this really is lovely.
Lots of craftsmanship is needed to make such thing
Your hardwork pay off

I’ve been thinking of making a rug of used clothing, with Crochet. This showed me an option. I like choices. Thanks for sharing. 😊From, Celeste in the PNW, US.

@@LenaBritArtist Thank you. I have health issues and chronic pain, but I am practicing Law of Attraction.

This speaks to my heart!
I love this!!! If you make it a little bigger it would be perfect for a picnic blanket/rug!!
Absolutely beautiful I love it!!!
I dunno if this is something that has already been said, but I love your accent. The way you say certain words, like bias and iron, feel just beautiful to my ears, and makes me want to just stop and listen for longer.
You would be amazing as an audiobook narrator.
My paternal grandmother made braided rugs using the off cuts from the family's woolen mill mixed with worn out farm clothes so I can appreciate the time and effort put into this. It's beautiful. Did you use upholstery needles in your machine?
Absolutely beautiful! Wow!
It's beautiful neatly made ❤
So mush work but so cool project and the coloring is beautiful. That’s bias tape folding machine? Is so clever… what an invention
You did really nice job!
Excellent job. Keep doing. Thanks for sharing.
Impressive. You are very hardworking.
That's a great idea for an improvised loom if you don't have someone handy in your life who can build one.
