Instead of a bag, you can tie the Rover up in a traditional wrap cloth. You can look up UA-cam instructions on how to wrap something and you can even make a handle out of the cloth ends
I am an adult male. I found the Shuttle with the bag at my local thrift shop. I cleaned the box thoroughly before use. Since the two big negatives for me were being metal and thus not microwavable and the issue with possible leaking, I found the lunch kit suitable for hiking and camping. The metal holds up in a campfire.
Thank you so much. This is a great, thorough review! I appreciate your recommendation on getting the lunch bag with it. I didn’t even think about it! Thank you!!!
I notice you mentioned these leaking from compartment to compartment but not out of the box itself. Will these leak out of the lunchbox into the bag? I'm thinking of foods like juicy watermelon, messy pasta, ketchup, anything which is oily like salad. Thanks for your help.
Hi Veronika - Yes, it's possible that items like the ones you mentioned could leak out of the box as well as between compartments. If you want to be completely safe, I would pack these items into the smaller, leak-proof containers that come with the boxes (or get a few as add-ons). That being said, I've found I don't have that big of a problem with this box leaking into the lunch bag. This is a problem the manufacturer anticipated and for the most part, the food stays inside.
@@wendoloniavideos Thank you for your speedy reply. I appreciate your feedback. For preschool we used the Bentgo Kids boxes, and I loved how leakproof they are, but the latches broke on one and they are harder to clean. This year I have been considering the Planetbox Rover. I was worried about it leaking but we will give it a try. I suspect the benefits will outweigh the added difficulty in packing things which leak in the covered containers.

How much did you find it for?
@@neiloppa2620 I think at the time, around $4-5. Not terribly costly.
@@CalBruin that's a good deal 👍

Your detailed explanation was very helpful. I ordered this and am waiting. I'm looking forward to it. greeting from Korea :)
Thank you! These reviews are just what I was looking for. Super helpful.
Glad to help!
I got the Rover. I am so excited about it. Can’t wait til it arrives! 🤗 Thank you! I enjoyed your video.
I was just going to buy this with that traditional lunch bag the rover sits in, but with shipping, it was &85!
They have a sale and free shipping at $100
Do you think it's helpful to buy all three? If not, which one(s) are the must have? Can these boxes share magnet?
Will the big round dipper from the rover fit in the large compartment of the launch?
