- In October 2022, we set off to climb Mount Kilimanjaro (5895m), a dormant volcano and the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
After many highs and lows, we summited Uhuru Peak on 8th October 2022 at 07:30am. - Спорт
Amazing video Chloe! Really showcases the beauty of the landscape, but also your personal journey along the route. Well done!
Thank-you !!! for reminding me why I fell in love with mountains ❤️
Thank you so much for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed it :)
Another terrific video Chloe, well done. It brought back happy memories for me as I climbed it in 1999 via the Barranco Wall, a lot more snow and ice back then requiring crampons and ice-axe. Keep adventuring, best wishes, Kevin.
Thank you very much Kevin! That sounds interesting having to get out the ice axe and crampons, the wall was tricky enough without snow and ice!! Sounds like a great trip. Take care and thanks for watching. :)
Great job and stunning views! You rock!
Thanks a lot! Appreciate it :)
Great video and what a great accomplishment! Well done!
Thank you!! It was a big challenge but very rewarding. 😊
Did this route March this year such an amazing experience especially when you reach the top
Amazing, great job Chloe !!! 🙂
Thank you so much! :)
Awesome feat!!!!
Thank you!!
Love from West Bengal, India
Thank you for watching!
So happy I stumbled upon your channel -- it is so cool!
Aww thank you so much, that’s very kind of you!
Good job Chloe. Good video
LOOKS A LOT SAFER AND MORE FUN THAN EVEREST GREAT JOB!
Only someone who's too poor to climb Everest would think that.
@@ramdas363wow that’s a dick thing to say man.. You can afford to climb Mt Everest? Congratulations. Go ahead and piss away $200k on that if that’s your thing ..
@@ramdas363you’d have to be poor to think kili is a safer climb than Everest? Are you dumb?
What was the unsafe in Everest
@@prakashkhatiwada32with that altitude you wouldn’t be able to breath because of low air pressure… there’s way less oxygen, and it only became safer maybe today but its still very dangerous, and you will see so many bodies of deceased people while climbing, no one is gonna stop for you because every minute matters trying to climb to the top, also extreme coldness and wind that could make you fall...
Climbing Everest is probably one of the most challenging things on earth.
Very nice video, Chloé! I reached the summit of the Kilimandscharo in August 2017. It was a great experience.
Thank you very much! Congratulations on your summit - it’s a challenging but rewarding climb. Take care!
Excellent video you have inspired me to climb this mountain
Thank you so much! Good luck :)
Great video, Chloe, thank you for sharing! I did Kili in Aug 2022 via the Machame route, also with G Adventures. I can recognize those purple t-shirts from across the land.😉
The 11pm wake-up call on summit night was rough....I got zero sleep that night and was falling asleep half way up while climbing. Got a second wind though, and pulled through, thanks to the dedicated g-fighters! Thanks for the memories.🙂
So great video and Congraturation
Thanks so much!
This is incredible Chlo!!
Thank you Rach 🥰
Gud environment
Congratulations! It reminds me of having a great time while climbing Kilimanjaro. I went there just a few days after you guys summited. We took the same route like you.
Thank you! Oh brilliant, well done for summiting yourself. I thought it was a hard route.
Wow
Thanks for watching!
❤❤❤
Amazing Chlo, wish I could've been on this trek with you too :) Unreal views
Aw it was definitely beautiful but very different to our EBC experience!!
This is amazing video, lets do an exciting trip to the Himalayas - Everest base camp trek with the Alpine ramble treks, their offer is still on
Wonderful experience!Greetings from Ningbo,China.
It was! Thank you for watching 😊
Climbed Kili the same month as you =) October 2022. I started off on October 1st
Great video, I will try it this year
Thank you :) Good luck and have fun!
Hey! Great video - I’m thinking of tackling Kilimanjaro in a few years too, and this has definitely inspired me to do it! Can I ask how you found adjusting to the altitude over such a short period?
Hi, thanks so much, I appreciate it! Honestly it was tough, it was a huge amount of altitude gain per day. A lot of our group struggled and two didn’t make it to the summit. If I was doing it again I’d consider doing one of the longer routes just to give the best possible chance of making it.
💯👍
여기 한국은 크리스마스 이브입니다! 서울과 근교 지역은 폭설에 한파입니다! 저가 있는 곳은 부산인데 기온이 많이 떨어진 날씹니다! 영상 감사합니다! 메리크리스마스!
Amazing may I ask which if any, company did you use for the trek please 🙏
Thank you :) I used G Adventures and found the organisation & guides all exceptional!
Well done! Great video :) I'm doing the Machame route with G Adventures this October, i'm so excited! - do you mind me asking what daypack you used and size?
Thank you very much! I’m pretty sure it’s the Osprey Hikelite 18. It was perfect for carrying the things I needed during the day. Though I wish I had packed warmer things for October- it was really really cold at night time! Would really recommend thick gloves/socks, neck thermal and even little hand warmers. Enjoy your trip, it’s an amazing experience :)
Could you tell me what camera did you use for this trip? I am going the same route and loved your footages. Please let me know! Thanks!
I hope you have a wonderful trip! I used the GoPro Hero 10
Hi which route did you use?
Hi, I did the Machame 6-day route!
I did the same route, with G as well, made the summit on 14 Oct 21, so,pretty much the same time a year before. What camp did you find to be the coldest, for me it was barranco, barafu wasn’t too bad.
Oh wow very nice! I actually found Shira the coldest despite it being lower, I agree that Barafu wasn’t too bad. Though maybe we were so exhausted by then that we didn’t notice!
谢谢你的分享!视频做的很棒!还特意绘制了登山路线图!非常棒!你做到了我想做而做不到的事!因为没钱也没时间!
WHat camera did you use? and were there any issues with it freezing? and were you clothes warm enough?
Wow. We’re there any dangerous parts to it? Like actual climbing? or was it all hiking. I love a hike but not a climb. Thanks
No it was all hiking! The only bit was Barranco wall, you are scrambling with your hands. But you never have to actually climb, you just need your hands to hoist yourself up a bit. It lasted about an hour. I’m not a climber myself but as long as you are sure enough on your feet on more unstable surfaces you would be fine!
Great video! I am planning to climb it in January. Do you recommend G adventures?
Thank you, enjoy your trek! Yes I would, the organisation and guides were great 👍
@@chloereedni thank you!!
Can I ask what camera you use to record this 😊
Hi, I used the GoPro Hero 10 :)
Congratulations! I'm looking to do it myself soon would you recommend any companies to do it through?
This makes me want to do it!! Who did you do this with please?
It was a great challenge! I did it with GAdventures 😊
Hi Chloe amazing video can I ask what your group you did this with? X
Hi, thank you! I booked it through G Adventures :)
Hi miss reed its me Sarah
Hallo, good afternoon from Indonesia. It's dreaming to climb Kilimanjaro. Would you tell me what's the camera did you use to recording the footage?
Hi, thank you for watching. I used the GoPro Hero 10 😊
I’m planning to do it Dec 2023 any recommendations for workout?
I would recommend long walks/hikes somewhere hilly and maybe take a weighted backpack. We were never moving too quickly but were on our feet for 6-8 hours each day. :)
Hi do you mind saying how much you paid for it? I don’t know if you mention it in your vid as I’ve got to watch in silent - very much here for the visuals!!
Hi, I paid £2000-2200 GBP which covered guides, food & accommodation, I just had to pay for the flights on top of that :)
I've just booked my trip 😊😊
Aw brilliant! For what month? Hope you have a great time!
@chloereedni it's not until Oct '25 🫣. Got a lot on between now and then and just couldn't afford to squeeze it in sooner!
Hello Chris, planning to do it in October 2025 too
@@MissPrisyBaby awesome, who are you going with?
Hi - Loved your video... Can you recommend any group which can help us doing this trek?
Hi Cloe would you share with me the name of the tour company which provides you this amazing adventure ? I hope I would think to make the same next year. Thanks
Going to cycle around Kili it in 1 month 😅
Have fun, sounds amazing!
Hi, congratulations. How much you paid totally? Except flight to Tanzania.
Thank you. Somewhere between £2500-£3000 GPB.
Why did you add fake ice in some of the shots?
Where are you from?
Northern Ireland :)
@@chloereedni I watching your videos, Come to India Madam... Visit Himalaya.. ❤️

Hello

Hi Chloe! Super nice video! How can I contact you for some technical questions about the trek? 🌎🏔️
Hi, thank you! I’m not sure how much help I’ll be, but if you drop me a comment here I’m happy to share whatever I can.
