Dan I would love to hear your thoughts regarding Ronald possibly leaving. I think there are two points to consider. The first, easy and obvious point is that if he turns down a contract extension, we sell him, taking advantage of the fact that he is in his prime. His quality is undeniable and the club can actually profit from his sale. Given the financial hole we have been in, paired with the delayed Camp Nou opening, a big money offer would go a long way to helping the club shore up things. The second point to consider is from a team integrity and structure POV. At 25 he brings the experience and maturity that the team needs. He is one of the best CBs in the world. He is big, strong and fast. A real threat in the opponents' box and we have seen time and again that he can be a real attacking threat in the dying minutes of the game. I also believe that he shows a real desire to win. This combination of skills and attitude make him invaluable to the team, and under Hansi Flick he could become a driving force leading the team to trophies, which again equals money. I don't think we can afford to lose Arajuo, especially if Christensen is up for sale. What do you think is more important given these two scenarios?
These are a few things he needs to do: - press like crazy (upd: like Fermin or Gavi) - make runs behind the defenders - improve hid defensive contributions He is a great talent, with a great eye for a goal and pass, and excellent set piece skills. He would be a good fit against a low block team where creativity and line-breaking passes are needed. But against this Athletico that is both aggressive and fast Torre would not be my choice.
Loved seeing gavi be more technical and that he was calm when yuri was choking him. Surprised he didnt just dive like others but we know hes a warrior. This is def our best midfield 3 even tho i do think pablo torre deserves some game time. He just doesnt press as well nor does he control the midfield as good as pedri. Its hard for him to breakthrough so maybe he'll leave this summer or stay to try and fight
I get Torre not being ahead of Pedri and Gavi but Fermin is constantly being given more chances and hasn’t been as impressive and it’s driving me crazy
@@lyonkennedy4892because Fermin is much more combative and energetic. Also Flick needed someone to lead the press upfront and make runs on the counter. Fermin was just a better fit for this match.
1) you can already see that Tek is better than Peña 2) Lewandowski has been covered by pretty much all of the defenders the entire time 3) Tek has been getting to himself second by second (intentional choice of words) and he has A LOT OF RESERVES left. Tek has made a difference and that’s it. Simple as that - we won because of Tek.
When will you talk more about Raphinha's decline? He's missing more chances than Lewy and Ferran combined and most of his passes in the final 3rd miss the target.
Were you impressed by the performance?
Thanks for your breakdown. You make being a Barca fan a better experience. Thanks for your hard work.
Thanks for all you do !!
I’m a big fan!
Initial Martinez with a great effort to setup that 2nd goal. We need to play with that passion at all positions. Thanks for the video Dan!
I've never seen such drop in finishing quality as in Rafinha and Lewy case.
great video as always
Thanks Dan! Great review as always.
gavi is so underrated! he is the soul of this team
Good job Dan 👏 on point.
Solid win. I agree that are forwards weren’t sharp today (besides a few moments by Yamal).

What does Pablo Torre have to do to get game time? Flick clearly is not always making team selections on meritocracy.
I think that is how the world is. You don't always get what you deserve. You get what you get.
Totally agree. Torre should have come on instead of Fermin
I think he struggles against high intensity teams that's why Flick didn't play him
Thank you bro, he is really good, but struggles in high intense games @@fryzollis

Can't say I'm happy with the team's cohesion.
okay boss
Martinez is a beast of a defender, he has to renew. Araujo looks like will go which sucks, hopefully we get Tah for free and keep Christensen.
Scznny has been wat we missing
We missed some easy goals today

we missed 5 big chances today
the missed chances are getting too much
Madrid won't be so forgiving
Stop the glazing Madrid, they are not doing shit
first
This team is too young to win anything
