I have watched about 3 other videos for H2O to Go. Yours is BY FAR the best. You are a very good teacher, and a very good seamstress. Don’t short yourself by saying you are not a professional!! I have subscribed to your channel, as well as watched your video on the thread that you referenced in H2O video. Marvelous!!! Thank you! 🥰
@@brittanyedwards9536 looks like the designer doesn’t allow UA-cam creators to make videos of her patterns being sewn. I will skip this pattern but I do have a quick, fun , vertical zipper clutch one I will post soon.
I’m literally having the HARDEST time sewing the bottom on. To the point where I cut about 1/4 inch off the bottom bc the first one I sewed on was just HORRIBLE. I’ve made 3-4 of them but I still seem to keep having issues with this bottom & it’s SO FRUSTRATING bc it’s such an adorable bag.
@@Boogeyman1435 Thanks! I’ll definitely try that. I’ve made about 4-5 of them now successfully (made them for Christmas for gifts for family) but I still had/have problems with the bottoms. It’s not nearly as bad but I can definitely improve. So I’ll blast stitch by hand first then stitch with my machine and see if that helps ☺️.
@@jessicamarsh9779 I just made my third. After the first one (which I threw out) I decided to hand baste any 'iffy' parts. Then there are no pins or clips to struggle with while you're sewing.
@@jessicamarsh9779 look up Lind’s Handmade (the Anak designer for this pattern). She has a video on how to hack the bottom so you can sew it on more easily.
I bought some of the waterproof canvas from walmart too but I'm unsure of which side is the right side??? Is it the coated smoother side or the non-coated rough side?
I don’t remember which part of the video I said that but I’m thinking it was referring to keeping the seam allowance on each side instead of folding both seam allowances towards the same side.
What that meant was, the seam allowance on the back of the bag, when you are sewing the bottom piece of the bag on, make sure the back of the bag seam allowance is kept open so it reduces bulk in the seam allowance of the base.
Great tutorial. Love how you use different color pen for card slots

Hand baste it first. Total game changer

The right side is the matte non coated one. The shiny one side is the back.
Thank you 😁
What is the name of your cute little rainbow thread scissors? and where can I get one?
They are the Tula Pink thread snips. I got them on Amazon.
@@MyCreativeRoom Thanks I will look into them right away. Love your video and excited to make the H2O 2GO SLING..
what do you mean keep the center seam open?
I don’t remember which part of the video I said that but I’m thinking it was referring to keeping the seam allowance on each side instead of folding both seam allowances towards the same side.
I was wondering the same thing. I’m very new to sewing. I have all of my pieces cut out and ready. I just have to sew it.
The part you mentioned leave your seam allowance open was when you were attaching the bottom to the bag.
What that meant was, the seam allowance on the back of the bag, when you are sewing the bottom piece of the bag on, make sure the back of the bag seam allowance is kept open so it reduces bulk in the seam allowance of the base.
